Do You Think Hong Kong Artist Can Sing?

i like the old music where it was all about the voice, in today's music, instead of using their voice to get themselves known, people compete by how good their music sounds

 

Janice, Jill and Justin are the saviours of the Hong Kong music industry. But even though i don't have much respect from the hong kong music industry. It's all about money money money!!!
I prefer singers from other countries like Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan etc.

 

To me i dont know all tvb actors can sing but most of them can really sing though

 

Definitely Justin Lo and a few others. However, there are way too many actors trying to be singers as stated by others...

 

I think definitely theres some talented singers like Wei Lan, but alot of them are just good looking and can't exactly sing.

 

there are far too many new singers now a days, most of them i don't even know. - can't even be bothered wanting to know who they are. Newbies pop up every couple days or so, how long can u keep up with it?

Also there may be some good new singers, but most of them are shadowed by the crappy ones, so its difficult to tell whos good and whos bad. it gives me an impression that they 're all bad. hahah cant help thinking that way.

Most of today's actors actually cannot sing, they have been push because most management company want to Squeeze every last drop of money that they can make from them.

yeah i agree with you. If you compare the old artists to these crappy new artists, you would see how bad the new teens hip hop/rap/etc HK artists are.

The reason why people love them is because they got the looks. And believe me, they don't even look that good anyway.

For me, I rather have an artist who have the skills and talents rather than depending on their looks to get into the entertainment industry.

But then again, I would rather have both.

 

I am a huge oldies fan, like back in the days of the first Four Heavenly Kings (Lau, Cheung, Lai, and Kwok). Most of the artists back then definitely did have talent. I don't bother w/ HK music anymore. >_<

 

i think they try hard ....but it is all about business in Hong Kong..talent is not always important

 

Janice is good but her sister Jill, I don't think she is very good at all. She ok better than most people but average and nothing like Janice IMHO -whistle

i say about half and half. it depends on if you LIKE the music. everyone have different taste.

 

i like fong da tong kahlil fong his waybetter than alot of new generation singers, there are alot of ok looking but tone deaf hk singers namely
- louis ku, ron ng,niki chouyumiko, sun boy'z, kenny kuan, yu , ok but stick to karaoke bernice lui, linda chung, bosco wong, alex fong, cookies, ella kwan, actually all EEG artist except for joey and wing yee,

 

Most can sing, but its ironic how the ones that can sing really good are not as popular as others e.g. Ronald sings very well but is no where near popular..

I guess... There are a lot of people who can't sing. I'll agree with most of the people who replied to this thread. XD

And ya the newcomers can't sing except for a few. Like Vincy is amazing at singing...

And people like Janice too... But some people are just well... X_______X

 

i think they try to do it all.. act...sing..dance.. even if they cant sing they do it
