haha. i guess it's just the culture trend. a lot of people want to be "gangsta" when they don't even know the realities of being one. and why do you associate baggy pants, etc with black people? ^_- anyways, i influence my friends if i can by telling them how dumb it is to want to be "gangsta" but besides that, i just let it be. it's not like only asians are doing it.

    Intersting you brought that up.

Now clothing segregates two types - Normal (ie Presentable) or Hip Hop.

Normal as i infer is the direct link of wearing normal sized clothing regardless if its HK style, Japanese style etc. As a side track my friends are Anglo-saxons but they dress like the fashion sense from japan.

I guess the perception in society of the norm is focused mostly on the fact of asians and caucasian clothing styles where they can be seen as one without having to be seen as being funny. Hence, if an asian wears CK, etc etc etc, it wont be seen as being a try hard.

If an asian wears like FUBU, etc etc etc, they are seen as being funny IMO. The norm of that is, society sees hip hop as a massive culture that the African Americans form to. Hence if an asian follows it, IMO it seems abit funny (as well as my mates)

The reason as to so is because the hip hop culture is so visible in society.

Caucasian on the other hand is the question of asking..."What culture do they have?" What defines a caucasian culture? Soceity probably dictates the fact that the cauc. culture is in fact a NEUTAL BASIS. Why is it neutral? Because there are many "white" people in the world and the referrence of culture for their term is highly ambuigous. Upon saying that, if i were to say wear Tommy Hilger and shit, would i be seen as being funny or even "abandoning my culture?" Absolutely not! Reason as to so is because we are standing on a neutral basis (ie the white culture).

Im pointin out my opinions ok, im not backin up anything. Dotn like it then tough luck...

Interesting opinions.. caucasian culture is neutral because there are many "white" people in the world.

Normal as i infer is the direct link of wearing normal sized clothing regardless if its HK style, Japanese style etc

Resorting to Japanese profanities cos you dunno what else to say? That just reflects so much on your level of maturity. And that explains a lot.. thanks for the clarifications. :D

no need to be mean ... hip hop is not a black thing..... their are asians rappers as well...i.e. jin.....chuckie akons.... bandit ap....c-skippah n so on.... but majority of main stream are black because they are of majority of population over here.....plus hip hop was started by black artist as a sort of poetry type of music... it has now become a youth cultural trend.....in other words ....its one of the many youth styles..... i was a fan...but have grow out of it.........i still dress the style every so often...but i buy cloths that fit..... dont really like walking around wit my pants around my ankles and t-shirts that look like dresses on me......but hay different ppl different preference....
