yeahh, although it may come off as a stupid question, i really want to know, since i'm given the impression who i may think of as a friend may not think of me as one. -huh -_-2
my definition of a friend is one that you can be yourself when you're around them, one that is really fun to hang out with, and one that has the same likes as you
someone that is always there for u, is down for u regardless of the consiqences, willing to get fu*ked up for u, and will never betray u...... i know who my true friends are ..... if ur the non violent type ..... then a friend is someone thats nice to u ... hahaha.....n wouldnt do anything to hurt u in any form or way
What type of definition are you looking for? There are many categories of friendship: Acquaintance, Friend, Best Friend, Romantic Friend ect. I define a friend as someone whose friendship I don't have to question.
My definition of a friend can be kind of lenient, since even someone I chat online can be termed as a 'friend'. An acquaintance for me would be someone I say "hi" too and a "friend" would be someone I can have some conversation with. If you talk abt a "true friend" then it's gotta be someone I know who won't betray /bad-mouth me but won't hesitate to point out if I am wrong; for my own good.
Someone I can call up for help in the middle of the night and will show up concerned instead of real complaining (some b!tching is expected) =_=b
in regard to casshern's comment: can acauintance go under friend? aren't they totally different? but i don't know. that's why i'm trying to find out. i have a friend who's from latin america and says that he doesn't have a lot of friends here in america (although i think not, but that's what he said) and says that "friends" in latin america are a lot more caring, blah blah blah. and what i considered "friend" in america was merely "acquaintance" to him.
^Definition of friend is very subjective. To each his own. So depending on ur own level of expectation of what a friend should be or able to offer to u... Acquaintance to me is a level in-between strangers and friends. Someone I would say hi to, how's the weather like , have u eaten, but that's about it. Polite but distant.
YEP! i agree with you both and it is hard to find your true friend... I don't really have musch friends these days... the only friend i have are all chinese. Which is gooodd! hehehe. Rarely see my gwai mui friends.
A friend is someone who's always there for you. That's a rather cliche answer. Personally, i think a friend is someone you can remain silent with, and not feel awkward. and i think it's up to each individual to define what a friend is. But a friend in need is a friend indeed! =)
