So when there's a lot of annoying bugs/mosquitoes in the summer, do you spend hours to suck these bastards up and let them free outside, only so they can fly/crawl back into your home again? -what?

Can you find that vacuum in Malaysia? The bug-sucking vacuum I mean. My family fries mosquitoes with the electric swatter. I kill cockroaches with bug spray. Hate it when those bugs fly right at you. I'm a girl but no, I'm not afraid of bugs. I like beetles and exotic tarantulas and bugs. I kill cockroaches for my sister. =.=" Everytime she sees one she runs to me and say "There's a cockraoch in the bathroom!!!!" and I have to do the job.

And the advertisement is really great. I'd like on of those too. :p

Eewww!!! So, do these flying cockroaches intentionally fly to human beings or what? If so, maybe I should scrape Malaysia off my to travel list. -boat

I lived in Malaysia all my life. Nothing ever happened to me lar. Flying at you is one of their defense. Don't all roaches do that(Those that can fly)? They try to scare their enemies by flying at the enemies's faces.

Trick is to kill them on the ground or don't let them climb higher than your knees. Basically if you sprayed them once, they'll feel like running like hell so chances that they fly at you are pretty low. Only one in about 30 roaches fly at you, i think. Only encountered 2 cockroaches which flew at my face in my whole life. I don't even want that thing to ever touch me anywhere so gotta gain some skills. My house is clean so roaches are almost non-existant here.

=.=" Malaysia is sunny all year round Taxloss... Doesn't make a difference if it's spring or summer at your place. Just find a relatively clean place to stay and visit. Plus like I say, roaches here don't make a habit of flying at people. They just creep around on the ground or walls where you can't see them. Flying makes them obvious. =.=" I think they'd wanna stay inconspicuous. Lizards like to make meals of them.

Oh oh, so there's nothing much I can do if those flying cockroaches think I'm attacking them if I ever happen to encounter one that feels like threatened by me? (except hitting them with a paper) Anyway, I'll better stay at the 5 stars hotel like Mav says in that case. (HK tour...)

Using the United States as a point of reference, we arrive at the following conclusions:

Burglary – Widely believed as the gravest of property crimes, burglary is lower in US today than in the 80s. As of 2000, US has lower rates than Australia, Canada, Denmark, England, Finland, and Wales. It has higher rates than Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Spain.
Homicide – US had been consistently high in homicide rates than most of the Western countries from 1980 – 2000. Though the rate was cut almost in half in the 90s, it is still higher than all nations without political and social turmoil with the 2000 rate of 5.5 homicides per 100,000 people. Countries entrenched in turmoil like Colombia and South Africa, had 63 homicides per 100,000 and 51, respectively.
Rape – In the 80s and 90s, US rates were higher than most of the Western countries, but by 2000, Canada is leading. Rape reports are lower in Asia and the Middle East.
Robbery – The past 2 decades saw a steady decline in the US. Countries with more reported robberies than US include England, Wales, Portugal, and Spain. Those with fewer are France, Germany, and Italy, and Asian countries plus the Middle East.

In overall crimes (the total of all mentioned crimes), US ranks the highest, followed by Germany, United Kingdom, France, and South Africa.
