Hmmm, the fact that they will not end up being your friends because they are gay speak louder than words... @_@b

It is difficult to believe that you will not treat them differently while you are NOT OKAY with their homosexuality... But anyways.

^ >.<' i don't know. i'm kinda getting confused myself. i mean, i can think of some people who are homosexually inclined but i'm not sure if i'm friends with them? and no, i didn't mean that i won't be friends with them. but the only people that i know of who are homosexuals, i'm not that close with because i only see them like 3 times a year. and yes, i treat them the same as everybody else.

hmm.. I dun really agree on that though, cos not everyone thinks in that mindset. One who does so does not truely understand the idea of equality and that there is no such thing as a 'better or lesser half'. One who carries such mindset, will not really be striving for equality cos it is such mindset that creates inequality to begin with. It is this mindset that needs to change if we were to ever achieve equality.

I think homosexuality will be accepted to the degree that people know it exist and will not react too badly to it. It's actually pretty normal, homosexuality. It exists in the animal kingdom with a wide range of animals (lions, dolphins, primates, etc) and I don't think we humans influenced the animals to do this. So why the discrimination? It's natural. I'm not saying it should be encouraged but why discriminate?

I think everything around us makes us think badly of it. For example, unless it was a comedy movie, any homosexual movies will have bad endings. Why? Because people think it's abnormal and this thinking is instilled in us. Parents will tell their children not to turn gay on them because it's embarassing to let other people know. Religion states that it's practically a sin. The media shows huge negative feedbacks on it. I can't really blame people to think like this due to all this factors.

Religion will probably never accept homosexuality into its fold. It's written in black and white so it won't change, but people can. If you're so not into homosexuality, keep it to yourself and remain straight. There's no reason to discriminate people who realize they're homosexuals. They live a pretty hard life in society as it is. Let them be the way they want is what I think. As long as they want it and think it's who they are, it's not right for us to say no because they should make the decisions, not other people.

^Wise words! Also, it was very common in the ancient Greece to have homosexual relationships between adult men and adolescent boys. And I can't see what harm gay people (between adults I'm now talking) can do except that church leaders hate to see this progress because they think they'll lose more followers in their parochies. Gay couples can adopt orphans to give them a good home and as far I know there are no kids that turned gay because they'd lived with a gay couple. +there's already an overpopulation on earth, the more people the faster we kill the earth.

Hahaha... So homosexuality protects the Earth? Good one. And it's really a good point that homosexuals will adopt orphans. Because they can't have their own kids the chances of them loving the kids they adopt is pretty high anyway right? I have lots of homosexual friends and they're really good people. They're often more considerate and kind than us straights. We're all human beings, homosexuals or not. So why treat them different? ^^ Treat our fellow man the way we want to be treated.

i guess the homosexuality is such a big deal is because according to the bible it is wrong and we all know what happens when you go aganist the church not even younger gnereations even adults will beat up a guy because they think he is gay but they find 2 girls together appealing.....

lol don't worry about this shit

in 400 years everyone will be a beige colored mix of indian/chinese/caucasian so there will be no more racial discrimination and bisexuality will probably be no big deal at all.

hahaha but in the here and now, i suppose it is kinda a big deal :p racism FTL!

I thought that in the logic of god believers, that their god created all men on earth, including the faults. So why judge, discriminate or beat gay people up? Aren't they playing for god themselves in that case?

I'm afraid there will always be the 'purists' who don't think the same as you and prefer to keep white and black and everything in between seperated.

Discrimination will never will cease. It will continue from one generation to another no matter what.

@fearless: in fact there would not be the beige coloured mix you talk of... because the majority of us still marry within our own race. So not in 400 years (which is around... 10 generations?)

^ Because, sooner or later, the oppressed groups which are being discriminated against will revolt and your cushy normalcy may be up the Guillotine like the Aristocrates did during French Revolution.

The table WILL turn, it's only a matter of time.

Having said that, I am not saying that the discriminated group will be integrated, it's just that they will gain the upper hand in the political tug-o-war.

i don't know who established stereotypes of different racist groups but i hate when people automatically judge me or crack jokes about me because of the stereotype that's attached to my ethnicity.

and if we were to live in a discrimination-free world? how would that world be? i can't quite imagine.. i suppose a lot happier but it's just unimagineable.

^ CNB: For one thing, a world devoid of discrimination and stereotyping will have little stand-up comedians :p Coz there's nothing (or few things) to laugh at...
