I can read post thanks you but I just wanted to point out that it's very common for Japanese to split their bills *warikan*, and I have seen married couples splitting their bills when I was in Japan, unless the elder looking couples who come in a restaurant together and sit on the same table, exchanging a few words, slurp their noodle soup in a record time and split their bills aren't married couples. (plurals because while my friend and I was sitting about 30 min on a big table, we saw at least 3 couples coming and going as we wondered how the hell can they eat so fast even when they came in later than us) + I don't say ALL Japanese do that, but it's quite common.
Only if I don't kung fu you into next week first =) By the time I hit 50, I'll be level 10 grandmaster martial artist lol
Cool, thanks for sharing that info. I'll be sure to watch more carefully next time I visit Japan. But wow, talk about romance killer.....
^yes, a romance killer that 'warikan'! (same as 'going Dutch' so I'm already familiar with it although I really hadn't expected this phenomena also in Japan) -unsure
