OK let me elaborate on your point.

    a) A man will be judged by his own efforts
--> Sounds to me a man who has hardly sinned in his life; doing good to others; helping the unfortunate ones will be judged FAVOURABLY since it's his 'EFFORTS' rather than his 'BELIEFS'.

    b) accepts Jesus' free gift of salvation
--> Sounds to me anyone who converts to Christianity will receive a gift, ie. ticket to Heaven...

Dude, again you just dodged my mention of the Bible but that's understandable. One cannot argue when one knows something is missing or their 'truth' is vague.

If you choose to believe in your Bible so blindly; you probably believe it from A-Z if I added something like "The Earth will be flat when Jesus comes" you would say it is so. :)

    Both quote has emphasis added.

I may have possibly misread the biblical reference, but God=Jesus? So where does the father and son comes in?

I don't think it's a free gift, something's free when it has no string attached. And paying him in our soul is not free at all, no matter whether you are willing or otherwise. And of course it's my own choice to not to listen to an angry representative of a supposingly loving god.

Really, eternal damnation? How 1984 is that? The big brother is watching you, behave or be punished.

And manifested from BR's point, I got the idea that mankind is being judged by belief instead of effort because no amount of good deed done can guarantee a ticket to heaven while "believing in God" give you a direct flight. It sound REMARKABLY like belief>effort to me.

  5. i respect you views, but this is what im saying.. you must try and quit saying things that is Christianity-narrowed, considering there are others who do not believe like you..

what fuels holy debates is the fact that you keep insisting Christianity is the only way to go.. if yo believe that, it is fine by us, but please do not transfer it to others..

you must understand that this enrages other people, and they do not like it..

babyrain and i are buddhists, yet we do not say buddhism is the only way to go do we? we accept that you view christianity as YOUR only way to go, so please give us the same respect we give you...

so please... consider others.. reduce on this narrow-minded posts...

unless of course.... this was all a misunderstanding?

Aww finally Dann made a real post... :D

  7. it makes no sense but ill try and give an answer. the saved to go heaven and the unsaved go to hell. evil people can be good and bad to whoever they chose.

not as easy as that, you receive the gift of eternal life with Jesus but you must also WALK with him, that's the bit the majority of Christians fail to do. you cant act and behave like the world and expect to be with Jesus.

thats what i was thinking too lol

do you want me to explain the Godhead hiake?, if so then let me know.

  8. i understand but that is Christianity, Jesus is the only way and Jesus himself says that the path is narrow. this comes to mind when you say 'Christianity-narrowed'.

  9. but just to confirm... Jesus' ways do not apply to us right?

    us as in non-christians..

and that "what" was in reference to babyrains disgusting post earlier -tongue2

a real post eh?! you want me to start writing essays now?!?! -lol just kidding ;)

Master_G seems to me it's pointless to continue this 'discussion' with you; if it can be termed as such. A discussion is where everyone shares their own views; but here you just blindly go on about yours and not even bother to read about ours.. haha. If there's ambiguity and vagueness in it; you choose to ignore it.

Because it's obviously you conveniently dodged all my views on the origins of the Bible and continuously rely on it for your defence... (if you are going to make reference to something; at least come up with a reasonable defence for it)

Now I must say WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAATTTTTTTT THE HELL do u mean?
EVIL PEOPLE CAN BE GOOD AND BAD TO WHOEVER THEY CHOOSE?

Anyone here recognise how cheesy and ridiculous this sentence is? -ann

  11. explain what you mean by this please.

im sure it was but that was running through me head after reading the post hehe

  12. what i meant by it was what babyrain said in her first few sentences in her post previous to yours..

  13. call it cheesy, call it stupid, but you cant call it untrue.

i did read what you said, but if you wish to leave the discussion then i bid thee fair well. bye

  14. lets just re-erect this discussion...

this time, we should not flame each others religion, or defend their own.. we should just merely point out the good side of the religion that we can all learn from, and apply them to our daily lives....

    that is a discussion...

  15. yeah, people outside of Jesus will be judged by there own works and own efforts. without Jesus there is no way to heaven. the Bible does say that everyone will NOT suffer the same in hell, some worse than others but either way it will be unbearable, according to the bible.

You do read what I said?
OK answer me: What did you think about when I highlight the origins of the Bible?
Now you can't dodge that anymore.
Do you believe in hearsay? 100% truth and nothing but the truth? If hearsay can be deemed as that; the courts would not have ruled out hearsay as evidence.

  17. are you implying that people outside of Jesus cannot go to heaven?

  18. if you never point out the origins of the bible tonight (which u didnt) then i advise u copy and past it for me to read it again please. im sorry if it seemed like i dodged your question, the easiest way to dodge a question is not come on the forum at all, but im here so i have nothing to hide.

  19. yes, this is what the bible says and its what i believe as a Christian.

which is why im always on about it.

  20. BabyRain

Yes I CAN!! It's totally UNTRUE.
What the hell do you mean by Evil people can be good and bad to whoever they choose? Lol, that just sounds so ridiculously funny to me... sorry.

Question : Who are Evil People?

And i suppose your answer is : Those who do not believe in Jesus.

And that will trigger my next question : Are you calling the rest of us non-Christians evil? (be careful what you answer here....)

And the next question : Those who believe in Jesus are saints then?

    "can be good and bad"

Question: What is GOOD? and what is BAD?
