Its all cool, just that it might be more effective when you preach. Lots of time, when we adopt that attitude, we might not know, but i've experienced this before, so just giving you the heads up. I understand where you are coming from though since you definitely want to have fellow peeps believe in God. -^_^

@dann: "Everyone has a right to their beliefs, please don't disrespect it. God blessed everyone with having the gift of free will, to choose how to live and what to believe in."

That is not 2 Corinthians 2:17, I said that from my knowledge of the Bible. In 2 Corinthians 2:17, The Apostle Paul states: "For we are not peddlers of the Word of God as many man are.." There is more to the scripture, but I want master_g to read it. I used that scripture to bring out that everyone has the right to what they believe, and in fact it is a disrespect to try to push ones belief on another, it is not giving honour or praise to God, but detracting from it.

    lol no prob.

Just so you know, I must say I do believe in God.
I am just not a Christian.
So would appreciate if you emphasize Christianity rather than God; because it is implying that non-Christians do not believe in God/ do not have a God.

I just read up on it, its not what its written in the Bible.

Direct quote "For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God's words, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ"

so now; we have here a Your God and My God eh? Sad that you just preached on respect but here you come to differentiate between Your God and My God.

Let's just say I am a Buddhist and my faith is Buddhism. Shall I say my God is a Buddha God? "My God" is just God to me; or rather my Overself. I'd rather not go into a complicated explanation of that though.

    Ditto.
But then a Christian wouldn't accept that I suppose.

  16. I think i should explain my views to the public..

what im about to say is not about buddhism nor about any other specific religion.

in fact, it is a combination of all.

    ill keep it short.

i believe that all religions with a God is referring to the same God. we are just simply interpreting God differently, such as Alah, God, even Zeus such and such. These Gods are in the "God" category.

we are battling because we believe they are not the same, when in fact, i believe they are. i do not have support for this claim, but if you just take your time to compare, religions are quite similar.

Jesus, Buddha, Prophet Mohamed, and others are in a category called "Masters". they each have powers that are quite similar. Jesus is said to have walked on water. it is the same for Buddha, he did the same (i heard it somewhere).

following are angels, guardian angels, and such.

after that, there are saints. you may know this from christianity.

and then there is a category which i forgot the name. but it is in this category that we find people like Mother Theresa, Gandhi, and so on.

there are also representatives, such as Popes and the Dalai Lama and other equivalents.

do you see how it combines all of the religions?! i accept other religions and learn from all, altho i am buddhist.

Primo, im not differentiating anything, im merely asking and it seems that when asking questions toward your beliefs, you get upset about it. I have respect for you and what you choose in your life, but doesnt mean that i would agree with you. Can you explain in what sense i was disrepectful toward you?

i would like to give an example in regards to "my god vs ur god" as you have so nicely put it, but somehow, i have the feeling that it will get out of hand.

anyway, my 2 cents, make love not war.

  18. i was referring to both of you lol

anyways, i admire those two for leaving, and not debate :)

this is a step toward peace lol

@dann: thanks, that is a long overdue explanation on the concept of God which may even allow agonistic views to be incorporated.

  20. @hiake: i am not saying im right tho hiake..
