You have got the point. Actually, its quite difficult to go back to Chinese solely based on the claim that u are OBC. I was in China previous summer, and i asked this question to the local immigration/emigration department of the 'Gonganju' in Shenzhen. It is far more important to have special skills they lack in China. U will need a employer to sponsor u. Otherwise, u won't be granted anything more than a prolonged business visa.(no permanent residency visa). They don't take claims on any ancestrial thins for getting residency permits in China. (maybe it will be easier when u use the traditional connections 'guanxi'??) I believe it is even easier to get first to HK(and settle there), and then to China through HK.
Yes, if u are 16 years or above....the passport is valid for 10 years, somewhat like the UK version (unlike the Dutch passport :s. Since the beginning of this years, HK has introduced a new version of the HKSAR Passport, with a biometrical chip (also like the UK and NL). Yes indeed...i have a frend who has 3.....two parents with different nationality...and third the nationality of the place he was born. ( NL/FR/US) nice if u have to travel very often...
Tri-citizenship... sounds nice -^_^ I guess if you have a European and an Asian passport you are pretty much set for travelling (covers most of the places...)

Btw this is so funny, I met this guy once whose parents were Nigerian but he was born in china, then moved to Japan, and finally to the U.S. So this african guy had chinese citizenship only, spoke fluent Japanese and fobbish chinglish/japanese english. Man that sucks to be him.
Poor thing... Japan is in fact quite strict in their citizenship (not unlike China)... But I guess he probably can have the green card and become US citizen in time and have to give up his Chinese citizenship...
haha actually, my mother has looked up geneology of my family name and my ancestors were Zhuāng Zǐ.. That's right, the influential Chinese philosopher who lived around the 4th century BCE during the Warring States Period. If my mom could get that information which dates way back past my 100x Great-Grandparents, i'm sure you won't have problems finding yours.
