Wait, I only now see this reply of yours...how can you know what music I like? If I only use music as criterion I probably have ruled out 95% of the Chinese guys...-boat
Interesting...if you don't mind a little experiment...click on my profile and tell me what you think about the music. (could be a trick question btw)
Mansun is very "trancey" will go well after smoking a stogie lol... I liked Cool T but the singer could improve on her pronunciation of English. Good beat tho....I was bobbing my head up and down listening to that =)
LOL, Cool-T is a 13 year old French boy and it was a hit in Europe a few years ago. Mansun trancey...erm never heard this description for them before...-rolleyes Oh wait till I put on the real (harder) stuff another day ... -^_^
AnAddict, I think I know what you are trying to say. Tell me if I am deducing correctly. You are essentially trying to say that money isn't everything and not a requirement for happiness; except you used the word success instead of happiness; that's why we disagree with you. If you do mean that money isn't required for success, then I wholeheartedly disagree with you. For example, imagine a family which immigrated from HK to North America, making $20k/yr. They eat dinner on a cardboard box and sat on a crate for a chair. Could they have been happy? Sure, because they were together as a family, healthy, and had lots of good laughs. Were they successful? Absolutely not, because they struggled financially to buy furniture, to buy food, to make ends meet. Scroll forward 30 yrs later, if that family owned multiple properties, kids are all grown up doctors, can eat out whenever & whatever they want, don't have to think twice when they buy something, and still have lots of laughs as a family. That's success & happiness. PS If you can read Chinese, 無得頂's sig is a Chinese saying of truth: 錢唔係萬能...但係冇錢就萬萬不能
Tarbanack OMFG....it 's me...PHD, etc, etc plus tons of money 2... Better not hook up, she sounds greedy...hehe
but the father was susscessful in establishing a family. u guys keep going on about financial success, but there are other goals in life that does not require money for success.
Yes, and establishing a family brings happiness, not success. What if he wasn't able to make money to provide for his family? And they had to starve, or the kids didn't have money to go to school? They're still happy as a family but not successful. *sigh* to each their own. Different strokes for different folks.
