Sex without love is fine as long as one is not committed to another person. Many people in this day & age have very hectic careers and do not have time to fall in love and want to concentrate on moving forward. However they are still humans who need sex. So for those people sex without love or "friends with benefits" would be an ideal choice.

Hey BR, don't see your name listed in the polls lol =P

what did I miss out on?

Oh, you mean my vote on the poll? Well, my opinion is different depending on what stage of life I'm in. If I were single, just dating, or not in a committed relationship, then i'm all for the sex without love. It's fun, no emotional complications, and I probably wouldn't have been ready for a relationship yet at that point.

However after a committed relationship & marriage, then it can be just sex or "making love" with my wife. It doesn't have to be "making love" every time if both of us are too busy and just want a quickie lol...

lol -nono Are you 18 yet Phy Phy?

Depends on whether one gets tested regularly, use barriar protection, and ask their partners about their STD status. Most people are too shy to ask their partners or don't want to ruin the mood before doing the deed....but those are the ones who get in trouble .....

I ammended my prior post :)

Hmmm... The Maslow theory does state that sex is on a more important and basic level than love and belonging so it doesn't link up. But I'd only do it with the person I love. Sex is something special that happens between 2 people so spreading it around really loses the meaning. >.< Plus there's the STDs like Dawn said. And your partner whom you're serious with probably won't appreciate the fact you've been spreading yourself so thin. Who knows, you may have skeletons in the closet.

There's a problem though. What if a person can't find his/her true love?

Should he/she abstain from sex for the rest of his/her life and remain a virgin until he/she dies?

Love is stretched on so many levels. You'll never really know true love. You can only hope that's what you have because you can't know if what you got is the ultimate. With that said, I believe that every person can find a person that they love as long as they have the ability to care for themselves and others.

To shift back to the topic a little bit... women associate sex with love more than men. Women's bodies actually release chemicals that makes them more emotionally attached to their partner when they have intercourse.

is this your justification for losing your virginity? if it is so, then it's a good one. you don't want to be facing God or when He asks, "why did you bring back something that I gave you without ever using it?"

of course it'll be more ideal to have both sex and love, but in this reality world, it doesn't always work that way.. I think I would prefer both tho

well, i voted for monk earlier on this thread -- but what happens when you meet someone that you are absolutely attracted to? u know, the intense heat and passion is so great that you have to have him/her right there and then? what then? do you hold back thinking ... ohh ... i'm not going to do this because theres no love but pure lust? or would you succumb to pure animal lust and give in?

Lol i chose D forgotten what it is...I think for those who chose to be monk its either they are not exposed to the world beyond yet...or they had a bad experience ;) No offense..thats just my humble opinion..

I've read about people that got turned off from sex for they had bad sex experiences...ie rough sex or something
