Which one of Zen are you getting? I'm planning to buy one aswell. i.m.o. I would take the Creative Zen Vision:M 30 GB. The specs is a little better then The Ipod 30GB, you can listen and watch longer and the Color is better. Unless you get the Ipod 80GB to play it longer. The Zen also got a plug and play funtion, Ipod needs an USB host. SOoo... I vote for Zen
I got both... but I thiink ipod is better... cause my creative one aren't too reliable, it broke twice and I had to go to their tech. centre and pay 300 HK dollars to fix the problem.
I vote for zen becuz its just copy your song into zen... and Ipod you have to go libary and than copy to your ipod too much thing so i vote for zen
There's more freedom in Zen, but design-wise iPod is better! and plus u get free engraving on ur ipod lol!
I am a fan of iPod so I do of course think iPod is better, I am not sure about the latest product from the Zen line, but my friend who got her Zen around the same time I got my iPod 60GB broke hers twice in a single year. It was broken beyond repair the second time around, she decided to get an iPod instead...
I got the zen vision m and even though its bigger, im glad i got it it has loinger battery life, more support for music files and video files( it supports xvid AVI, no need to convert half the videos out there), does not require any software to run it, you can use explorer even the software it comes with is extremely easy to use Plus just about everyone has an ipod these days, i get bored of it
^ yup i got a ipod and think they're great.....so id go for ipod definately lives up to its name......becuase think about it why would everybody like have one....thats becuase they are really good!! if i had the cash i'd maybe buy a cheap zen one to see how good that one is too but i havent got any spare cash floating around so i stick to my ipod because it rocks -rockon
i think its funny how people who seem to prefer the ZEN seem to hate the ipod for some reason why cant you like both? why's it one or the other?
brown bear: it is like microsoft vs. mac kind of scenario...like some of mac os fans hates windows and at the same time there are more people using windows... ---- no i have a zen cause my dad got it for my b-day...and i even though i wanted an ipod, i've learnt love my zen...it is alittle clumsy, but the battery life is good and it is less pricey than the ipods. but the ipods do have better design...but it is the inside that counts right?? =P
but the mac user more often dislike windows, while windows users tend to be more mac friendly =) haha
For MP3/MP4's I say Specs > Looks. Ofcourse the look is important but isn't the thing 2/3 in your pocket? Since you were looking for a Video capability Zen got a better screen/color and a longer play time I don't get why people dislike/hate between those names >.< I don't want to offend people but, imo its kinda stupid
Not necessarily, if you have iTunes up, iPod connected, you can easily drag a copy of a mp3 directly from your music folder, to your iPod icon on the left margin or in iTunes, under the music category or "library" of your personal iPod *not the iTunes library* you can just drag and drop the copy of the mp3 in the list of songs that are already on your iPod and that song will def be added to your iPod. Anyway, I have never tried Zen, I have always been an iPod girl, if the stats and the reviews are good, I'd try a Zen.
but i take it you still need itunes zen, no additional software is needed if you want to use it. you can use it like a memstick, drag and drop
