which reminds me.... just so you know, i am a science fiction fan, so theres this issue that keeps bugging me.. animals dont have the capability of understanding religion as we do.. and by animals i mean prehistorical creatures as well. before the introduction of the homo sapien, dinosaurs ruled the earth. youve mentioned sin was due to mankind's mistakes correct? if dinosaurs do not have the capacity like us to understand Jesus or any religion for that matter, and with the idea that it was man who sinned the world, why do those animals die PRIOR to the event that man sinned the world? in fact keeping in mind my science fiction nature, since God created the universe, we can also make the assumption that extra-terrestrials DO NOT have the same beliefs in Christianity, if not any religious understanding at all?
In terms of morality (which to me is separated from religion), only an action or intent (to a lesser extent) is judged. So even if one is prideful or lustful, as long as the person do not practice sodomy (for lust) or arrogance or some such (for pride), the morality is not quite questioned. And perhaps to many's surprise, I do think that human is born evil. And without proper socialization and education, one is more prone to acting out from such instinct. But that's an entirely different discussion for another thread. I do apologize, I learn this "trick" from way back when I was in another forum, and people only read 10 words (or less) before and after the word God (or Jesus, or Christianity, you get the idea) if the post is longer than 100 words =_=bbb So it's an automatic way to get attention -lol Again, I do apologize, old habit die hard.
Ahh i think i understand you. i dont believe the earth is as old as evolutionist or popular science claim. 2 mil years ago etc. so i cant really comment. yeah providing me and apollon remain with Christ we will both live with him forever. im not sure what you was trying to get at tbh.
is that so? well in that case, there should be cases of people living forever now... but there arent... only on tv.. lmao and so basically. you dont believe in science?
@dann & master_g (and all involved in the whole dinosaur and prehistoric species discussion): I think I see what dann is getting at. Before human is convicted of the ultimate sin (and in turn exiled from the garden of Eden), there is no such thing as death??? So where did those fossils of prehistoric animals come from??? They DIED before homo sapiens supposedly lived...
lol im still lost about the living forever and tv stuff hehe as for science, i believe some of it, and some i dont believe. for me, when i see all these new theories i just remember that most of it comes from people who believe humans evolved from monkeys. this is my personal opinion on this. as u no Im a Christian guys and i believe the bible 100% and try to live my life by it. the dino thing is not scriptural. according to the bible no death came about before adam and eve fell. i simply dont believe in all that carbon dating stuff, ive also seen scientist claim that it is not accurate at all and was a tool used by evolutionist, but thats another thread.
Well, whether one believes it or not, there MUST be some explaination for such weirdness that there are death (of prehistoric animals) before death really exists (aka before the conviction of the Ultimate Sin). Or is it some kind of sick joke to mess with our head and so called "test our faith" (do you believe in "so-called" reason or the little voice in your head)?
Hmmm, carbon dating may not be accurate to the exact year. But it is accurate in terms of relative date (for example, when given two samples, which one had died and in turn decompose and some such first?) Just like we cannot say our weight is accurate because one's weight fluctuate depending on elevation and location, but if something weights more than another in one location, it sure is HEAVIER than the other regardless of the inaccuracy of the concept of weight.
dann i think i no wat ur saying about the living forever and tv thing. Youll have to wait till resurrection for that, then youll see a physical body, untill then you will be in spirit when you pass into eternity after physical death.
ok... but you must agree that the Bible does NOT refer anything about those bones lying in the fields... and it is IMPOSSIBLE to create such lies about dinosaur fossils, so how did they come about? how can one explain the deaths of prehistoric creatures based on the Bible alone? and do you believe that Adam and Eve were really the start of human beings?
and you dont believe in those fossil bones and such.... do keep in mind that, say prehistoric creatures were dead due to the flood, and that humans did live during that time period*, that would mean dinosaurs and humans lived together... which is in itself, impossible... *if i remember correctly, the flood was due to God being angry at humans for their sins, and wanted to start again, by bringing a couple of each species. (proven by the many printed stories i have at home on noah's arc)
