Male: Deep Ng Ron Ng Boy'z Hacken Lee (he MAY sing well, but his voice is also VERY pretentious) Nic Tse (it's just a mistake) Female: Twins Stephy (I can be quite sure that she will have trouble hitting all those high notes if it's live) Jill Vidal (totally got famous for her twin sister, who is also only a so-so singer) Isabella (should stick to acting) Gigi Leung (OMG, I cannot imagine there's still people buying her album, her breathing is like horrendously loud!) Kelly Chen (uncreative, but she's not quite in the spotlight nowadays) Cookies Fiona Sit (annoying kiddie voice) Vincy Chan (great singer but it seems like the only person who found her voice overly high-pitched and annoying is me... and we are talking about overrated right? She's not as great as to warrant her popularity)

Omg I agree with most of your list except Kelly Chen and Gigi Leung they're so not overrated. They're awesome. You have offended their good name and am the first to challenge you to a duel good lady!
Hmmm, in Fiona Sit's case, she couldn't quite hit some of the higher notes even in the CD, that counts as overrated so-called talented singer??? And her voice is SO weak that her vocal is inaudible at times. As for Vincy Chan, in her two albums so far she lack style in terms of her singing. She can hit the notes alright for sure, as every single member of a respectable choir should, but her lack of style totally eroded her talent. And really, using a cover as plug on BOTH CDs, which in fact she didn't sing BETTER than the original, is a sin. If you are interested to know, I didn't listen to the original songs until AFTER I listen to her cover version, so the whole "the first impression burns" do not applies here. As for I am being subjective and consider people overrated just because I don't like them? Well, I would have thought the question is some what asking for opinion = subjective. Like wise, there would never be such thing as OVERRATED objectively, because the "rating" in overrated represent concensus, if it is from concensus it cannot be wrong in representing such "rating", thus OVERRATED do not exist objectively (beside the obvious cases of lying "she's a tone deaf but we would insist she got the voice of heaven on our paper" or some such). Well, I may be able to take back my verdict on Kelly Chen depends on which song of hers I am currently listening to. No offense, but Gigi Leung is a terrible singer who have yet to learn to breath properly, her breathing is SO loud and distracting as if she's having shock or asthma attack in the studio while the CD is recorded. Having a duel with you do not change my opinion on her.
OMG..S.H.E sing very good...urgh...i would say most of these singers are your opinions... but the OBVIOUS ones would be Twins.. no doubt...Stephy? she doesnt sing good at live.. but at least she writes some of the lyrics for her songs....
^ Well, I don't want to start a flame war, but I am quite skeptical of the whole composing and penning the lyrics by singers part @_@bbb Like Avril Lavigne (totally going OT here) I am CONVINCED that she didn't write many of those songs in her CDs, her agents either bought them off from her old band or something like that. Because if she DID wrote those songs? She must have been better in playing her guitar than now...

well...i dunt mean that shes for sure writes her songs...but i just saying in this case....but it really is hard to find artists in hk that can really sing... even harder to find someone that is pretty and can sing and dance...lol but i think janice is pretty good...

the mando-canto singers i think are overrated are twins, jay chou, and most ppl from EEG Entertainment. I am not trying to be rude or disrespectful. But when i here twins or other singers from EEG i want to pop my ear drums or smash the stereo except for joey and a couple of others. Then there's jay. i dont think jay sings bad; but thats b/c i dont think he really sings, instead he mumbles... i think jay is popular b/c his songs are easy to sing along and memorize. his songs are simple and therefore ppl known it well
