If Jesus really died for our sins...

  1. Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. What strength he has in his loins, what power in the muscles of his belly! His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are close-knit. His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like rods of iron. He ranks first among the works of God..."(Job 40:15-19)

The bible mentions dinosaur type creatures but how they fit in, i dont know.

the conception of dinosaur has always been up for debate in christianity.

however, i want to address the question of "why did animals die before Sin enter the world?"

I do believe the same as master_g, that the bible of genesis is NOT written as fictional or a hypothetical storyline. But is the truth about the creation of the world. So how does the existence of dinosaur/prehistorical animals come into play?

Well, some may blame this on technicalities or what-not … but the bible doesn’t specifically list the animals created by God. So in some aspect there could be dinosaurs that dwell with Adam and Eve and all the way to the flood with Noah. And then the dinosaurs could have not been able to live the same way as before and some died out. Therefore explaining why there are some example of “dinosaur-type” animals that exist today … wasn’t there an “ancient dinosaur-type” creature that was recently found off the coast of Japan?

However, take that last paragraph as an opinionate reasoning on my part for the existence of dinosaur.

  4. yes i agree with the above, Dan im going bed, laters

  5. that actually contradicts the fact that God created the universe now doesnt it?

if the dinosaurs werent created by God, then by whom, since everything was created by God..

  6. no he doesnt mean that dan...

he is saying, all animals created were not mentioned in the bible, the bible does not mention gerbils or hamsters for example.

  7. uh.. ok fine.

    go to bed -lol

  8. im finishing watching, My boss, my student first...

    @Apollon:

Just an odd question, does dinosaurs really use their 6 inch teeth to crack open coconuts???

That was meant to be a joke, but here's the real question.

Were all living creatures vegetarians before the ultimate sin??? That is, is there predators and prey before Adam and Eve are exiled (or before Noah's Arc)???

Did the carnivorous animals BECOME flesh eating after ultimate sin or before (since the day they were created)??? If they were made to be flesh eating, how did God decide who's going to be prey and who predator??? Since to my knowledge (which is very limited, mind you) there's little to no reference to the answers to these questions. I would like to hear your view on them.

  10. the bible says that the trees/bushes or something were to feed animals, ill try and find the verse. as you can tell, my memory is vague on this so ill look for it. concerning the food chain, i guess it just depends on what abilities and properties you were born/made with.

Then at which point did animals become flesh eating??? And did they just MORPHED into different physiological structures to accommodate the change???

  12. These technicalities are not in the bible or haven't been discovered by me, tbh the bibles aim is the tell the gospel. things like when or how animals started eating flesh is not important for a Christian or coming to accept Christ nor is it the aim of the bible. because of this, these things are not always covered in the bible, followers of Christ will have an eternity of learning ahead, we cant learn/understand everything now. that's my opinion, we cant answer everything.

    interesting questions, hiake.

well, first of all. i going to make my answers based on my knowledge of the bibical word - so please bear that in mind:

lets begin. most ppl know the bibical story of creation. on the first day, God created the light and separated it from the darkness. on the second day, God created the expanse between water from water and called it the sky. on the third day, God created land and gathered the water to be "seas". He created the land so it would bear plants and trees of various kinds. on the fourth day, God created the sun and the stars and made them to govern the day and night. on the fifth day, God created living creatures in the water and birds in the air. on the sixth day, God created living creatures of the land, including us. and on the seventh day, God rested.

now, remember at this time ... Sin has not enter the world and therefore all things are inaccordance with God. and God was able to be with us. therefore, He feed and nourish the world. He was able to do so, and we (Adam and Eve) was content and lived off of the fruits and "food" that was in Eden.

then after the Fall of Man ... the animals had to fend for themselves. therefore, killing and feasting among one another. survival of the fittest in the bluntest term.

No offence but I know all I want to know. Religion is just faith. Nobody can prove a certain religion is the one true path to where ever and that's a fact. To claim so is honestly just ignorant (In this day and age) since there's absolutely no science behind God and no proof of any kind to back it up.

    Seriously?

And, if this devine being called God created EVERYTHING (In seven days whole days) who created him/her/it?

well, you can't perceive God in the term that is characterize by time. in our reality, time is the essence of controlling the beginning and the end. and God is beyond that conception. He is eternal. i really like how Ray Comfort puts it -- God told Moses that His name was "I am who I am".

  16. sounds like science is your religion..

God has no begging or end, God said "I AM WHO I AM" no one is like him. we shouldn't limit God by our own limitations.

Okay, I left out the "create the world in 7 days" part because I think it is not quite related to my following reply (you know, to save the number of page down's we have to press :p)

Anyways, so let me recap on this to make sure I didn't misunderstand your point.

    1. God created the world and everything in it (geography, life and all) and provided for all living creatures. Every living creatures are herbivores or at least do not attack other living creatures for food (aka carnivores), correct?

    2. When Adam and Eve is banished, every living creature has to start to fend for themselves, there comes the competition and the questionable survival. And in turn almost "created" carnivorism (if there's such a word) As survival of the fittest demands the most adaptive to the new harsher environment/world with limited food and such.

    So far so good?

My question maintains: Why didn't all those living creatures DIED when they are banished and had to learn to competite for the limited food supplies. Because from the views of biology, a herbivore, or a non-carnivore, if alters its diet and consumes flesh, will have dire consequences such as plagues and diseases/illnesses. Why didn't all those living creatures which converted to herbivorism died from such drastic change?

Or, where did the remains of those which DID die from the drastic change go??? It cannot have been the dinosaurs as some of them has complex features adaptive or suitable for flesh consumption. So where did those remains/fossils go?
