I'm not the first to say God created the earch in seven days. I believe it's in the bible somewhere if I'm not mistaken.
Even though the comment was not directed to me, I beg to differ that science is a religion. Science is all about tentative hypothesis and probability. I do not believe the sun raises in the East and set in the West because science TOLD ME SO, but because I saw it in my own eyes. And before you get too excited and say "I sensed God with my very body", there's a deciding difference between science and religion: science is tentative. Just because the sun raises in the East and set in the West for the past... let say around 2000 years, does not necessary means that it is bound to raise tomorrow. And while the sun not raising in the East is going to be a shock, science do NOT tell me that "well, it's a test of faith" and expects me to just sit on my hands and NOT trying to find out the cause of such disparity. Also, what science strive for is objectivity. Evolution is a theory, for sure, but before anyone pulls out their scientific method and tell me "well a theory is a unproven hypothesis", it is useful to know that it is a hypothesis SUBSTAINTIATED and SUPPORTED by numerous reports of OBJECTIVE evidence. Notice how I emphasize OBJECTIVE? Because many may take anecdotal evidance as proof of God, first, one cannot be certain if it is a moment of hallucination or play on your mind. And also, how can God be true in so many different ways while every followers or believers of their respective religion insisted that "I know it's true and it's God who talked to me", apparently what each of them felt is entirely different and in no way affirmative of each other's vision. So is God just different for everybody? Or is there no God at all but a reflection of oneself? That is one answer I seek, which insofar no satisfactory answer had been provided.
how about i go one better and say "I saw our Lord Jesus with my own eyes when i was a child" before i was told about God. it happened for a reason of course, and was not a "your a special one" type scenario... well i hope you find it one day
also some asteroids and comets to smash into us lol...supernova explosion of stars to kill us as well =D
Science = facts. Would you agree? You do rely on facts don't you? Or are you blinded by faith? Anyway, I wouldn't be too suprised if you didn't. You're the same person that didn't believe animals died prior to mans sins. So this devine being actually came to earth and said this!? Wow... But you see, this is where facts, evidence, and science comes in. There you go. Looks like my "religion" has more ground.
And also, let me get something else straight, to make sure i understand completely. 1. God created the universe. 2. Everything in the universe, even extra-terrestrials (if they exist) should abide to God. 3. Due to the Ultimate Sin unleashed by man, every living being (humans, animals, and plants) pay the price by dying. 4. Before the release of the Ultimate Sin, everyone and everything lived forever. 5. You die because you are separated from God. 6. If you are not separated from God, you live forever. 7. Because prehistoric creatures lived before Adam and Eve, they would have lived forever. 8. The Great Flood as written in the story of Noah's Arc, is the cause for the death of those creatures. 9. Jesus is the connection between us, to God. 10. All non-believers should be punished. do i understand correctly?
correct. bear in mind, that God has the ability to feed them in nourishment for their needs. well, there are many possible answers. the "food" that they were feed could have some biological similarities to "protein" related substances. and therefore did not demand a huge drastic change when they were forced to fend for themselves. also, if this discussion is made around the exist of God and his presence. He would have had the ability to "help along" the process from a herbivorean diet to a carnivorean diet.
The following is made with the assumption that God indeed exists and is almighty and all. So are you trying to tell me that God had created them to BE carnivores (with special herbivore features!) BEFORE Adam and Eve is banished??? Or do you mean they were created as herbivores THEN evolved to be carnivores after the banishment? In the latter case, when you say God "helped along" with their so-called evolutionary process from an herbivore to a carnivore, let's just assume it could have happened (since God is almighty and all) where would the fossils of their pre-evolution herbivore counterparts be resting at??? Or God just remembered all of a sudden that he has to leave some random fossils to confuse us (aka test our faith)??? @master_g: Thank you very much for giving me a straight answer.
1. God created the universe. yes 2. Everything in the universe, even extra-terrestrials (if they exist) should abide to God. Dont believe in aliens, only humans, animals and angels who can appear in watever way they like. i may have forgot some stuff... 3. Due to the Ultimate Sin unleashed by man, every living being (humans, animals, and plants) pay the price by dying. fallen creation dies 4. Before the release of the Ultimate Sin, everyone and everything lived forever. for some reason this is reminding me of final fantasy. before sin, death never exist. 5. You die because you are separated from God. basically. 6. If you are not separated from God, you live forever. we wil ALL will live forever regardless of weather you believe in God or not. im sure you know what im getting at.... 7. Because prehistoric creatures lived before Adam and Eve, they would have lived forever. all animals would have lived forever if it wasn't for sin. 8. The Great Flood as written in the story of Noah's Arc, is the cause for the death of those creatures. i cant speak as if i was there, but the flood wiped out everything and everyone except those in the ark. 9. Jesus is the connection between us, to God. Yes, i know some hate to hear this but as a christian we believe that Jesus is the only way to the Father. 10. All non-believers should be punished. all non-believers will be judged by their own efforts which will lead them to hell regardless. EVERYONE has sinned so Jesus is the only way according to christianity.
well, actually ... the earth didn't exist before. nothing did. only God. but i want to add that science can't disprove the existence of God. therefore to some extent -- faith is need to understand and fully grasp science's theories and ideals. for science is limited by time and at the moment cannot give an answer for the reason of creation -- then just to say that was created. all the other points are correct, expect for the bolded ones.
ill be straight up. your stories dont add up. and its very damned suspicious. no explanations of prehistoric creatures and fossils, no explanation on living forever vs death, illogical claim that separation from God results in death... and many more. explain to me these first, and if you successfully explain them, with LOGICAL answers and no God this God that, i will fully believe you.
any answer you get will be from the bible, you dont believe in its authenticity (i think) so theres is no way to satisfy your demands.
i never said i dont believe its authenticity. you are my explainer to the Bible. the authenticity i dont believe is your interpretation of the Bible. keep in mind, that i did go to a Christian school, and learned the same thing you know.
