Dead or a very mean prank?

My friend is sad getting a message of a friend of hers is dead but no reports on the news of the car accident and she doesn't have his number she asked the person who told her of his death to give her the number but nothing so far.

I want to help her out, i hate to see her cry shes blaming herself but then she wondered where he died.

She told his full name, age, where he lived and a photo of him.

How would you us this information to find out more on the accident if your 3 or 4 states away from her and the situation?


Added, no one else informed her of this event and she didn't get a call from her friends parents. Keep in mind that he liked her alot but she was with someone which she thinks hurt him. and the possiblility that hes getting back at her or unless hes really dead. help

 

Be cautious in case it's a prank and as long she hasn't heard anything official and tell her to remain calm till someone really trustworthy can confirm the sad news for her.

 

find the number of the police in that state and ask about any reports

 

Call the boy's parents to confirm the news.

 

Oh yeah, what to do if you have the information you now have... I guess you can fax these info to the police in that state and see if they can confirm the news or not.

omg this happened when i was in gr 10....some ppl believe it...so funny..this guy just had no contacts for days but still wasn't on news so suspicious

I'm right now trying to tell her to calm down and not blame herself for this. I need to know for sure with out her knowing that i've been looking for this person for this person. ...oh crap could it be possible this is a trap for her?

 

I remember her telling me that the guy likes her alot and he was hurt when she dated someone else. I've been looking for contact to the police station in her state to fax like you said, but now i'm worried that shes in danger.

 

if it's a prank, i really gotta say the person behind this prank is sick... Just contact the police of that state and confirm it. They'll understand!

 

I think ur first priority would be to stay with her first and make sure that she doesnt do anything rash. After, maybe check with the department of transportation and inquire about the accident.

 

Keeping in mind she is crying and blaming herself.
If it turns out to be a sick joke and hes still alive, he won't be alive for long if i find him.

New info, I have the numbers for the police stations in texas listed ready to make a call for records of car accidents. She was given a phone which seems to be fake. I've also spent money to get on heraldtimesonline.com to inform me of deaths on the 5/21/07. The person name didn't reach media's attention In a area were the virgina shooting took place.

I didn't call the police stations yet, because she wants to try something. But right now, I feel very anger at this person who's making me get these feelings of telling my friend her friend died but when i get that no results match is pissing me off.

Based on this info, do you guys think this is a prank?

 

Call the police station first and see if anything turns up since accidents are not necessarily picked up by all news paper.
