@p3ps1c0la: Would you mind dividing the list into smaller posts??? It's A LOT To read through without enough breaks @_@b
I'll be back to answer whatever question there is properly tomorrow... Night everyone and good day to the ones on the other side of the world.
Haha, I'm sorry but it is interesting to read so you won't mind when you're into it. =D Also, I have a hughe list of contridictions within the bible right here http://www.evilbible.com/Biblical Contradictions.htm
all of your questions are great and incredibly interesting - and i'll try to explain to best of my knowledge. ok with Jun first (lol. i have a Christian brother name Jun -- sorry offtopic) Nice, your explanation of hell is correct. i believe God has a way. I believe everyone is given chance to hear God’s word; if not in this life then in the next life. Therefore, all of those isolated cultures that were unable to hear God’s word will given the chance to hear after they die. That doesn’t contradict the ideas of non-Christian that taught the word of God now. Since they are given the opportunities at the moment to believe and change their life; but instead refuse to listen and continue their path of destruction and denial. Why should they given more chances? yes. Jesus is God. The second part of your question was a question I dwelled upon for many years. And here my answer- The Hebrew nation are the chosen ppl of God. And therefore, Jesus Christ came to world to specific preach to them. however, his message was not only for the jewish ppl. It was for everyone. Therefore, even though Jesus Christ only spoke to the Hebrew culture -- His message and salvation was not only for them. Doing good has nothing to do with receiving salvation. Only faith is needed, that simple. And therefore after receiving faith, the wiliness to do good comes into play and action. I think I explain it before. But I’ll gladly do it again. There are two deaths: a physical death and a spiritual one. In a short-version, Jesus Christ came to defeat our spiritual death and give us a new spiritual life; therefore yes, you don’t die spiritually. And in the future, God will give us a new physical body ... and then will we be completely in-sync (like in the beginning of creation) with God. You see, sin was able to separate us only physically but spiritually as well. Therefore in order to completely release sin control over us. Jesus Christ needed to defeat sin physically and spiritually. Physically with the rising from the dead and spiritually with being flawless and sinless. Ciao, hiake.
expanding on what apollon said, the bible says God revels himself through all his creation. There may be people who we haven't reached yet but i believe God can reach them. ive read many testimonies of people who have found Christ without the help of other Christians, but through Jesus alone. BUT for those we can reach, we MUST preach. unfortunately many people like to hear the mercies of God but run a mile when they hear the judgements of God.
if God wanted us human to follow tha path (in this case Christianity path) given out by Him, why wasnt in place at the beginning of mankind? Why wait for Jesus which is so many years later? the gap of time between mankind existance and Jesus is so damn far apart u didnt explain anything about what the non-trinitarians =P did u miss it or just avoiding that part of the question? yea my whole point of the question why ONLY hebrew? any specific reasons? why not in Egypt or China? thier civilisation is at least just advance if not more
i thought i told you, it was the jews (Gods people) and the gentiles (the rest of the world). before Jesus, salvation was NOT available for everyone, ONLY jews!!!! not china, not Egypt, not Africa, not Europe. i bet you ask this same question again. Maybe you should give the bible a read, even from a sceptics view if you must, then at least you can answer some of your own questions yourself. you mention non-trinitarians a few times, you seem to be looking for a specific answer, if you have your own views then post them, if you have Christian friends who say different then post it.
well, you asking what are the reasons for God's decision and His will. and since i'm not God, i cannot give you a straight answer. i can only assume and address it to best of my knowledge. my suggestion is that you read the bible yourself and try to answer your own questions. but i stress that you please read it with a open-mind (very important. so many hard-hearted ppl just read the bible to criticize and find it faults ... and therefore the bible loses it initial intent and i believe it causes the bible to lose its beauty and essence). my favorite book of the bible would be Romans. you can start there if you want. i made my statement. yes, all ppl that do not believe that Jesus Christ is God will be going to Hell. again, you ask me a question that involves knowing God's will and the reason for his decision making. unfortunately, i would love to give you an answer on that. however, i can't. but, if anyone has any bibical scriptures that they don't understand when reading the bible .. i can help you to lead you in the right direction. or give you my point of view on that passage.
so basically ur trying to tell me God created human and expect them to go to hell, since Christianity only exist bout 2000+ years ago...i dont know where is da logic in that im not really interested on what they believe in, i want to know what a trinitarian thinks of a non-trinitarians. since trinitarians insist that thier way of Christianity is the only way, what they believe in is the truth, what about about a non-trinitarian? out-law? it might really be God's will...the other possible answer to it is religions are man-made
this is why i say you should read the bible for yourself, men knew God WAY before Christianity, cain and abel knew who God was never mind Adam and eve, in all of the old testament there was no such thing as Christianity. that came After Jesus came to earth and fulfilled his task. tbh i dont know what this is, have you heard any views from such people, if so please share. If your willing to gamble with your eternal life, then thats your choice.
Very good example; except that you seem to think the Bible is all about an account of how Jesus' died. What about the rest of the claims made in the Bible? Are those perceived by first account eye-witnesses as well? How Adam/Eve came about; and who were they. Even the question of WHY Jesus died and WHAT he died for is debatable. Quantity of the witnesses do not mean the event is necessarily true. Just like if only ONE witness saw it, doesn't mean it is false. Let's say David Copperfield held a magic show in front of thousands of audience. Then EVERYONE of them witnessed him went through the Great Wall of China. Would you claim that God gave David Copperfield a superhuman ability of going through walls? Or would you reason it out and said it was all illusion and trick? The thousands of audience would claim that it is TRUE, David did have the superhuman ability because THEY witnessed it. How exactly would the evidence be shown throughout the Bible, if it was indeed inspired by someone else, or something else, or even if it's the AUTHOR'S OWN theories? Besides, something being written in the same way by many authors does not mean it's true. I have seen countless of books on Santa Claus, and the same way in how people describe him riding a sleigh and going down chimneys; does he really exist? Is there still a hole after all the explanation? I certainly hope not. And since YOU have decidely 'retired' from the thread, I assume all of your concerns are addressed. As for the 'karma' issue, I have laid it down well and precise enough, haven't I? No, it is indeed COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from the Christian version. In your religion, you claim that once you die, and if you believed in Jesus, your 'sins' would automatically be 'taken away' and you would be brought to Heaven. Whilst the Buddhists believe THEY have to be responsible for their own wrongdoings. No one is there to 'take away their sins' or absolve all the responsibilities from them. There is no such easy way as be freed from one's own karma just because one believes in a higher power or technically, the Greater Overself. And until they rid themselves of their bad karma, they are being sent to Earth again and again.
