Nothing says yum like bugs in the tum… Munoz who started a project making candies filled with grasshoppers and oat meal worms, hopes to sell them throughout Panama and have them exported to the rest of Central America and China. Annie Munoz eats one of her worm-filled lollypops (B2)
I don't like that idea. Bugs only taste good when they are salty. Even chocolate ants don't taste that good compared with fried ones with salt.
It's common in china and in some places in HK. They don't taste bad if cooked right. But eating bug candy that is cold and sweet doesn't sound like a good idea.
There's nothing really special about this candy, except the fact it has bugs in it and it's supposed to be. The texture of the insects and the smooth texture of the candy doesn't fit together. If someone wants to eat those bugs they'd better eat them without the candy form. Oh, and this reminds me to put another point to my 'put off' list: - someone who love to eat bugs
O.O ugh..that is so gross. i'm already scared to death of bugs, and now they're gonna be crawling around in my candy *pukes*
It's no wonder why people here in America say that the Chinese would eat anything under the sun .. from rats to insects to even shit (probably, lol). Sick shit.
I heard that in some Asian countries they eat big hairy spiders ... That is really something EEEWWWW!!!!
