Aaarrghh!!! I keep on lagging all the time!!! Just now it frozed for like 10mins! And I kept going end task. Soo bloody annoying!! Especially when you talking to someone on MSN and they about to go then all the sudden your computer lags and you can't type!!! Its like if your ignoring them or your in the mood cos he/she going offline!! How much do you hate it? How often does this happen to you? And how can we stop lagging?!?!
Hate it with a passion. Good thing it doesnt happen often to me. Best is to format computer, because generally its some softwares that cause it to freeze. If formatting is too much of a problem, try to do a "restore to an earlier point" where you remember that there was no freezing issue.
it can be because there is a process or app that is using up your most of your resources like CPU and memory or that you have too many apps on at the same time if you press ctrl+alt+del and click on processes tag you can find out what is slowing you down there is another possiblity that a virus might be causing your pc to lag and freeze and crash (which i experienced before and i had to reformat ) also too much crap on your pc that cause lag you can use ccleaner to remove all that
Your PC can't lag if you understood what the word actually means. As for your problem, I suggest upgrading all your drivers(i.e. chipset, graphics etc.), that may improve situation, if not, reformatting is the best option or doing a full system check. Removing useless applications that you don't need open in the background can also improve performance.
And we all know who you are referring to, right...hahaha... Now, sd1988 supposed problem. What exactly are you doing when it so called "lags"? Most importantly, would you happen to have the specs for your system? From your other post it implies you have spyware/antivirus protection, right? Knoc
yes my comp lags as well......and it becuase its old lor :( at 1st i thought it was becuase of lack of memory so i went out and bought a external hard drive dragged most of the stuff off my comp and its still slow nows >.< so im just gonna say its the comp it self getting old....well i guess it is about 4-5 years nows....so i am due for a new one any offers to to buy me a new one
aww poor bear bear -hug there's a diff between hard drive memory and system memory(Ram) more Ram would allow you to run more programs and at times faster...

just make sure the "new comp" consists of current hardware not just "new" as in unused b4 =P can't wait till i get my new one =D which has been x years in the making... lol stupid socket754... >< can't run dual channels =(

well i guess wat i meant was.... make sure u get a new computer with the latest technology in it no point getting a "new" computer that was dated 3 years ago =P current i meant as in, current technology wise well atleast ur brain got forced to think it was a riddle lolz
tech moves on so fast nothing is ever up to date to stop a pc lagging, reformat and stop installing crap otherwise you will just have to reformat every 6 months unless ur an expert at finding and removing the actual causes, more hassle than its worth
back to the topic: since u know how to go to end task, you might want to check what's using up alot of the resources. and determine if you really need that. also check for spywares <~ those suckers tend to suck up all the resources. And add RAM, that will help too.
