couple summers ago working 10pm-3am and then morning 9-4 nite was ok, 15min drive that can b cut to 5mins tho morning, was like > 1hr travel =/ didn't feel too tired, did it for a couple of weeks couple months ago worked 8:30 - 4:30, and then 7:45pm - 8am obvious to say, didn't last very long... only did it cos wanted to start new career/job without leaving the old one just yet and that didn't work out, so now not working at all lol
lol I thought when you work for dear ole daddi-kins it's suppose to be smooth sailings-lol well, with my pop he would only give me the easy things to work on, missing buttons, zippers, shoulder pad replacements (he was a tailor) the only thing he was a stickler for was that I repaired everything he gave me correctly, even then he wasnt harsh about it, it was nice and he even paid me money lol I only worked two jobs once in my life, you did it alot reno...
No, seriously Sugacutie; I am curious how you'd cope with a fulltime day job and a night time job as well?
Hm, to be honest, I would most likely switch to a part-time day job, about 3-4hrs a day, then a full-time night job, so it will at least give me some time to rest up in between.
Not really, because I would get extra money from the part time job. I'd have the full-time night job and the part time job in the day.
before I did my internship I had two jobs, both part time. I worked at a dutch bank, one or two times a week. I will only work there when I have the time (because of my study) and they don't mind whenever I come. Very flexible In the weekends I worked at a chinese take away but only for 3 hours in the evening.
^awww, thank you for your post.. That's what I was contemplating for my Saturdays, to just work at a restaurant for the evening-night shift...
working both places = extra tax = less money >< but still better than none... and working 1 full time + 1 part time, kinda doesn't leave much time left and sure not to last very long... wen i kinda did the 2 full times (1 was a 12 hr shift.. ) i didn't last very long only couple of days, started taking sickies for other one lol but i was training, and sux how training was unpaid... i didn't even get told it was unpaid until afterwards... and then obviously, didn't join with them... atleast now im in a big international company =) see how i feel, mite consider working somewhere just for fun such as bartending =) well wen i worked full time + uni full time, u do really feel worn out... did it for my last 2 years of uni... atleast i got wat i wanted =) both pocket money and my pieces of papers
last summer i worked 3 jobs 1. Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy Technician 2. Superstore Pharmacy Assistant 3. Medical Clinic Receptionist/data entry clerk This summer i cut down a bit im still working part time as a pharmacy tech at shoppers, but now i have a full time job ontop of that at an Insurance company. I might do 3 jobs if i can balance it again though, i want the money. My resume is pretty baller for an 18 year old at this point.
I sometimes wonder how do people do that. I mean.. with all the group meetings, studying, homework as it is... it's overwhelming. I can understand if it's a part-time job, but full-time? That leaves nearly 0 time for homework, let alone the group meetings etc.
well i guess its dependent on class times too i knew i had less actual contact hours, but more time needed to be spent on thesis and night classes so i chose to work full time in day, go in after work for class or do thesis but wen the crunch time came... it really hurt >< worked to abt 4:30, deliberately left early got home eat thesis shower thesis... then its like 2-3am, and start over again but i guess as long as u know wat u need to do and have a schedule its ok since lectures aren't compulsory, then u don't have to turn up, just make sure u bother to read up and ask questions abt stuff u dont' know cos if u think abt it, standard working day = 9-5 get home say 7 shower/dinner = 8-8:30 since we all sleep "late" these days, u still got 3-4 hours atleast everynite to do work which is technically more than enuff, just that we can't concentrate for that long... lol
currently I've 2 part time jobs, one for week day and 1 for weekend. In this summer, i'm going to look for a full time job.
@fearless_fx: Are you going to school to become a pharmacist? The last time I checked they make pretty decent amount of money. it's okay brown_bear-hug lol Yea, with your situation, it would be practical to find just one solid good job..
