my mandarin teacher is kinda like that, only teachs in simplified characters and gives like face when something tries using cantonese =\
not only hk ppl speak cantonese..most of southern china speaks it...tell those ppl they aren't chinese =P whoever says cantonese isn't chinese is ignorant.
The problem with Cantonese is that it is more a spoken language than a written one. In Cantonese drama series, you will notice that what is spoken doesn't match with the written Chinese text. Too much slang that can't be written
Naw, you mean people use more slang in Canto? But it can be a serious language as well. Just watch those ANCIENT series.
^ The people in those Ancient Series, last time I checked (which was a while back, but whatever) don't really speak FORMALLY...
Then you need to go way back and watch non-TVB ancient series, like Romance of the Three Kingdom. But nowadays spoken Cantonese can't be literarely written down.
Well, to tell the truth it's been a while that I followed any TVB series... Found them kind of silly at times @_@bbb
TVB series tends to be very extreem. People are either very -devil or -innocent2 . A situation that you will not see in real world. You can almost compare with Disney cartoons, -evil and -innocent2 can be distinguished very easily.
So when will you stop fragging copying someone else's post and come up with something original. Bet you are just a small potatoe on PA's evil scale.
