I just got my Wii about 1-2 weeks ago and am having a dilemma in deciding what games I should get/keep. I just got: Red Steel Wario Ware: Smooth Moves Metal Slug Anthology I'm going to try out the three -- I'm certain in keeping Wario Ware, but not too sure about Red Steel and Metal Slug. I'm a little shaky about the two, especially Red Steel, after reading some bad reviews of it (both normal user reviews and the "professional" reviews from IGN/gamespot.com). If the two doesn't "suit" my needs, I'll probably exchange/return it and get some other games. In doing so (if I do), I'm seriously considering Trauma Center: Second Opinion (I didn't see any on the shelves of Best Buy nor GameStop or else I would've bought it -- I may have to order it online), Super Paper Mario, Zelda: Twilight Princess or Mario Party 8. What are some thoughts about this? Any serious critique/recommendations on Red Steel, Metal Slug or any of the mentioned/not mentioned games would be appreciated.
I've played Zelda TP and Super Paper Mario, both are good with brilliant story line and quite some surprising twist of gameplay/plot. But of course I am biased because I LOVE TP... And SPM drags on as you cannot play the game for hours on end (you just lost patience with it sometimes) I wouldn't recommend Trauma Center just because like Cooking Mama, if you played it on DS before, it's just the same on big screen. And the gameplay gets REALLY repetitive... @_@bbb
Sighss, everyone says Super Paper Mario and Zelda: TP are good. I might as well get them both. lol I've never played Cooking Mama nor Trauma Center on DS or the Wii. I only hear that it's really good.
Hmmmmm... Zelda is like THE STAPLE game for Nintendo, one should never get a Nintendo console without getting the Zelda game on that particular console /sales pitch But really, Cooking Mama and Trauma Center would be the type of game I hope some friend of mine will buy and let me borrow... I probably won't play it more than 5 hours as the game play is WAY TOO repetitive for me... I got a short attention span so it's difficult to keep me entertained
Believe it or not, I've never played any of the previous Zelda games (OMG WTF! I know.. haha). What prevented me from getting the Wii game however, was the fact that Zelda TP is a single player RPG and I was aiming to get a more "involved" or multiplayer-optional game. Maybe I should just give in to the popular Zelda reviews, bandwagon-jumping and franchise. I'll get it sooner or later after I try out these other games that I already bought.
LOL Zelda has never been quite the team playing game (the only exception being Four Swords) I personally like single player RPG (and the list of zombie/undead shooting games goes on...) over multi-player...
definitely get zelda. it's a lot of fun. you get to swing and do a lot of cool moves!! and mario paper is not bad. and oh, how's mario ware?
Wario Ware is okay... not brilliant for single player (I got bored after a while, but it's totally personal) But it's a GREAT party game.
Yep zelda is a a must have.Although i love red steel its fun you could try games like mario strikers charged athough it isn't out in the us yet or DBZ tenkaichi 2 i'm pretty sure ur using a ntsc console?
the one thing that got me with zelda was the tedious and drawn out beginning....that i think takes 2-3 hrs before u get any fun in playing the game. wario ware is fun to play as a group but i really dispise the only use on controller thing for multiplayer on it....that really ruined it for me...but i had a ball watchin my friend do the moves wii play is a good game to get...i love the duck hunt and the cow racing
I do agree that the beginning of Zelda was kind of boring, up until... say the first real dungeon maybe?? But then again, Zelda has always been slow to "teach" the player the basic moves before the challenges come...
^ i remember the legend of zelda for the SNES was really quick and lots of fun from the very beginning...i've played that game at least 10 times when i had my snes before it died on me i should go look at the virtual console and see if they have it....i want to play it again now hahaha
Get it on emulator and ROM -lol Ever since N64, the beginning of the game just drags on and on to "familiarize" the player with controls and moves...
^ haven't touched a zelda game since the snes one....good idea hiake i'll go look btw, wat the heck is that thing in your avatar...it looks like a big ass nose over a troll
LOL, it's a man with a huge piece of red cloth (think those matadors/toreador in Spain ) Yup yup, for emulators you can try www.emuparadise.org (I think that's the link), I got all my EMU things there... And since you mention that, I decide to change my avvy, but here's the pic for those later ones who have no idea what we were talking about:
^lol...so that is what it is.....kinda make sense...but don't see it hahahaha...still see that nose and troll i like my pic of hyori...i'll probably change it when i get tired of lookin at her...u and mav and b-rain must change your avs like once a day...cuz its different everyday
I can recommend which game not to get - spiderman 3. Bad graphics, bad gameplay, bad fighting, un-hot girls, and many stupid missions.
