I hope you understand what I mean when I say "shake". Let's just say I think it's prevalent among Chinese people? I do it naturally and understand it looks rude for a girl to do it but still do it anyways. he.
not just girls... it's not polite for anyone to do it in public i think... but i guess it's ok to do it at home if u don't have any guests

i take it that when u say shaking ur leg, u actually mean shaking ur leg. .. omg...i'm one of those ppl that gets sooooooo irritated when ppl shake their legs. why? why? why? it is sooo annoying. especially in class when the whole class is quiet and then all i can hear is the leg shaking. it's like a buzz in the room that u don't realize is there until u do, and when u hear it, it jsut becomes louder and louder. on a side note, once when i was young, i was shaking my leg at the dinner table and my mom hit my leg with a clothes hanger. she then screamed at me that it was disgusting and i have never done it again.
^haha. i had this image of my mom going insane over it. she does that to my dad when he starts shaking his leg; she gets so irritated that she slaps his leg. it's funny though. and just so i don't seem mannerless (lol), hiake, i only shake my leg at home but rarely do i do it. as a just wondering question: does anyone know why it's rude?
i'm thinking it's kinda like someone taping their fingers on the table repeatedly or making weird noises. i disrupts others...maybe? my mom never gave me a reason not to do it. with my mom she just uses violence and screaming. it's amazing how a woman so tiny can exert so much force and exert so loud noises.
It is rude because... The sound of it, not to mention in a tiny place, the shaky leg may shake the entire table or someone else's leg = rude Kdotc do it because he is h*rny =_=bbb

Well, given the fact that I personally don't shake my leg, I really don't know... But my best guess would be, there wouldn't be anyone (besides yourself) you are being rude to, and since being rude to yourself is kind of impossible, no. In short, nobody's there for the person who shake his/her leg to offend = not rude
^ yeah, but if u do it at home, it becomes a habit, meaning u will do it in public. if my mom ever saw u, she would beat u.
^my mom would beat me too. but again, i don't do it often. at least not so often that my mom will notice. it hasn't become a habit for me though. hehe. i think the reason why i started this thread was because i just started shaking my leg all of a sudden while sitting here.
