If someone states that they do not read essay, one can presume that they don't read all essays. however, the word "hardly" give the possibility of pick and choose what essay he/she desire to read. there is difference. however, that isn't my point. i find it ironic and hypocritical of BabyRain, to condemn master_g of misreading and misquoting her essay when in fact she did the exactly same thing.

Well, given the fact that master_g "skims large posts" and "hardly read essays", I think it's pretty safe to say that the few essays lucky enough to be grace with his attention surely do not cover ALL of BR's essays. And sometimes, misquoting stems from knowing only PART of the context. As the Chinese proverb said "duin cheung chu yi" is "taking only a portion of a passage and derive meaning out of its intended context", that just isn't the way a discussion should be done.
