I think it's even worse when some leechers are suddenly going to spam the board because they need a certain post count before they can dl something. Worse than just spamming with oneliners are those who use dots only, copy 'n paste replies by others and posting two nonsense words, thinking the rest of this board are stupid who won't notice anything and disrespecting the board rules.
I already did... but the mod just say that they don't like 'forcing' members to do something... Hmm, IMO, it doesn't take much to click the thanks button, compared to the member's effort and time spent on uploading the links.
Which annoys me to no end... Hated the fact that he fragging STOLE my sig! I totally WORD on that. It's only fair that leechers has to clicky on a button for their lack of input, to say the least...
I don't post a lot since I'm so busy with school, but I don't download a lot either. So, I'm not one to leech. I contribute when I can.

^hahahah. that's just funny. i'm laughing with you. i used to download quite a bit. in fact, it was the downloading that drew me to this site. but ever since my iTunes broke down, i don't have much motivation for downloading and have been spending my days loitering here. i'm a reformed half-leecher. haha. just sayin' people can change bwahahaha.

how about just purging the member list? Or close off the signup's so its invite only? though i must say, i've come in episodic posts. There are times when i'm just too sad to post.
nothing u can do unless you set up some sort of restricting on downloading each week. like instead of saying u need 20 posts to download, u can say u need like at least 10 posts from previous week to download this week..........ect i dont know how much time u people spent on forum, but for me i certainly dont have the time to do that. i dont download that much anyway and and i use verycd emule most of the time cuz i dont understand canto.
