http://bbs.hz0752.com/dispbbs.asp?boardid=1&star=1&replyid=120268&id=677885 unfortunately i cant read or understand too much chinese so it might not have been cause of stealing but anyways found this from another forum.. apparently 2 guys were caught stealing and i guess the owners wanted to beat them half to death for their deed.. ..i've always lived in a relatively safe part of town..so this sort of stuff doesnt really happen all that often around my area..but im sure in many parts of our society, things like this happen all the time...so if you saw someone gettin a beat down...would u intervene? or would u just watch on? personally if i saw something like this in my area i would definately intervene..but im not sure if i would if i were in a rougher part of the city..i wanna be a good citizen but i dont wanna get shot tryin to be one-noclue
Tough one, I've always thought of myself as a guy who would do the right thing, even if it's a situation that doesn't concern me. But it's hard to get involved in something when you don't know the circumstances. So unless it's something like a man beating on his wife or something like that then I would probably just ignore it or watch like everybody else.

not sure wat ur definition of beaten is...but if its as brutal as the guys in the video... wouldn't that make you a criminal as well?... i dont think "he stole something of mine so i smashed rocks on em" would get u a get outta jail free card -huh
Well if someone tried to rob me, I would do my best to kick there ass. But I wouldn't go as far as putting them near death. Does that sound about right?
i guess lol...but theres a difference between trying to beat someone up for stealing...and trying to protect ur stuff from being stolen.. but i guess you needa knock in some sense for these people to learn their lesson...but why not just apprehend them and let the athorities handle the situation properly... those two guys didnt look llike they were gonan run...
I think this is madness to be getting someone through so much pain over a small thing like that. I think that sometimes violence is never the answer.
hm, if they were stealing, um no I would not personally intercede in the defense of the thief. I'd call the cops though.
yeh ive seen the vid, its pretty brutal, i dont think i would beat someone like that just for stealing my stuff (well depends how valuable it was to me
if ur beating someone up after the attemp of theft; then its clear that you're at an offensive state of mentality.. its not likke they're any threat to u or ur posessions anymore while protecting ur stuff is clearly defensive and ur only trying to stop someone from the act of theft... tell me...if ur possessions are already safe... wats the point of beating someone to a bloody pulp? most theives steal out of need...and im not saying this is always the case...some people are just plain self-concerned greeds...but even then, i personally i dont think they deserve to be crippled...but i guess its all about personal ethics...
holy crap!!! thats crazy!!! ... remind me not to steal in china (not that i would anyways everythings so dam cheap....) im glad i live in america where if u steal u get a light slap on the wrist hahhaa..... instead of being stoned to death...
