Basically...My parents, mainly my mum is telling me to 'fake' it in front of people that I dun like!! <_< Shes like why do u have to pull that face? -huh What face!? It's like I aint dun anything -cry2 Bt the thing is she knos I dun like them [If u read my other post about my Auntie gettin burgled...its her daughter that I dun like... and her son...bt hes okies now] Jus think shes so stuck up and think she knos it all... Like hello u only a year younger than me so how much more can u kno u lil *bleep* -censored Argh..just does my head in! ah chinese parents or people are like that face and respect are everything, so they want you to act that way otherwise it may reflect badly upon them dont take it too hard, its just the way things are, im sure they cant help it, my parents are like that if you honestly cant fake a smile now and then, then dont force yourself, theres nothing wrong with being yourself in the end

Guess this is the time when eastern and western cultures clash with each other. Best is just be who you want to be, and not pretend to be someone else. Hope that your ma will see your point and accomodate you on your points.

Hmmm...I'd say go ahead and be yourself, but know your boundaries. Draw a line between dislike and disrespectful. You have your parents to think about. How you behave reflects on how they brought you up...at least, that's what my parents always tell me...
