I'm thinking of getting the latest iPod Nano and I'm wondering if the screen is scratch-proof unlike the first nanos that came out.

    The good:New scratch-resistant aluminum body
Available in a variety of bright and shiny colours
Still superslender but more durable, thanks to seamless construction
Supports photos (with thumbnail grid) and album art
    Great sound quality

The bad:Still doesn't play video, not that you'd want to watch it on the small screen
No built-in FM tuner or recording capability
Not all colour options are available for all memory sizes
The bottomline:The second-generation Apple iPod Nano is like the successful offspring of an iPod Mini and a first-generation iPod Nano. It's small, stylish, user-friendly, and competitively priced -- a great player all around and suitable for a variety of users.

    Buying choices:Apple iPod nano Second Gen. Black (8 GB, MA497LL/A) MP3 Player | $347 - $367
    Apple iPod nano Second Gen. Silver (4 GB, MA426LL/A) MP3 Player | $257 - $280
    Apple iPod nano Second Gen. Silver (2GB, MA477LL/A) MP3 Player | $195 - $212

yeah, if you want one I will sell you mine with a clear plastic casing. I bought so that when I put it in my pockets alongside my keys or if I drop it it won't be scratched or dent. But overall it's scratchproof as long as you treat it good.

The scratch resistant part is good, but I still think it doesn't have much of an Ipod feel to it.

  7. make sure people understand its scratch proof, not drop proof lol

I think it's scratch proof for minor scratches around the IPOD, but the screen is definately not lol. I have one and I put it in my pocket along with my keys, and the next thing you know, there's a big ugly scratch on the screen... I suggest getting a cover for it too... Helps a lot. Although it'll be fat and ugly, but it's worth it.

Thats the best way to prevent scratches, but I'm pretty sure they don't cover the screen.

yeah they do cover the screen. Get a hard plastic cover that's clear instead of those soft flimsy ones with colors. It will cost you more but its worth it.

hmms dont put the ipod in your pocket with other things. maybe use a pouch or plastic protector to prevent further scratches from some coins or stuff

It won't scratch as easily but it'll scratch if u scratch it hard enough haha! Ive got friends that have the new nano, and they've dropped it on the streets lol! still better to always buy one of those ipod cases..
