Mauritius?? isn't it a french dependency?? oohnoo..its a independent country now...

I learned about it....in Dutch history class...
Long long time ago....when the VOC sailed to the east indies.....they used mauritius as a harbor....loading fresh supplies and so on...(so it was a dutch colony once)
there used to be a animal called : 'dodo' on mauritius, but the dutch made them extinkt....(used it like chicken)
so thats why we know about mauritius.
