It probably also depends on the guy. Some guys are all about sleeping with as many women as they can, so their "friendship" is insincere. However many guys out there are capable of handling complex levels of relationships, ie spouse/significan't other is in the highest spot, and be almost as caring and friendly to other women as friends but in a subordinate level to the wife without the same kind of attraction. They may still find the other women physically attractive, but will not jeopardize his relationship with his wife by doing anything he'll regret. But yes, I do know many guys who are incapable of having female friends without thinking about them in a sexual way.
