So I was at the library today and this guy's ringer goes off 'This is why I'm hot, yeah, this is why I'm hot, hot. This is why. This is why. This is why I'm hot' while I was thinking "no, you're not so could you please just shut your phone up??" So at the sound of his super loud bang-your-head-against-the-wall ringtone the security guard lady went up to him and said "Sir, please go outside if you're going to answer your phone or shut it off". The guy replied, "I wasn't answering my phone so I'll just stay right here" (and basically was talking back to her in a disrespectful tone). So a librarian comes along and says "Please put it on vibrate; it disturbs many other people in the library." (yeah, like me!) Then the guy says, "Yeah, that's what I'm doing but see, my phone rings every time I get a message. I don't know why my phone's not staying on vibrate; I tried putting it on vibrate. I wasn't talking on the phone. (and after the lady left) You know, that lady is mean; the other security guard yesterday wasn't like that." The other day when I was at the library for a few hours, the guy's cell phone rang about 6 times (see how I counted when I was getting super irritated?) for what seemed like the longest time until the guy would decide to stop it right before it would stop itself and the security guard would give him warnings but wouldn't kick him out. One of those times, he actually answered it! GAHH. Just because someone's actually enforcing the rules around here doesn't mean you become disrespectful toward authority and stop lying to cover your butt! If you tried to shut it off within those 6 times it rang before, why is your phone still ringing?? UGH. These people shouldn't be allowed in the library. EVER. Or if they are, should be kicked out. okay, rant done.
^What an ass I would have told him off if I were you. Just like those people in the cinema not shutting off their phones or at least switch them to vibrate...
lol i would yell "SHUT THE FUCK UP" right in the middle of the library, and go back to my reading like nothing has happened
yeah me too...that's such an annoying fugly git....just shoo him out of the library! there's one case where we were having a preliminary job test in a hall and there's this guy who answer the call right in the hall...we all stared at him and the invigilator ask him to go out and talk....luckily the guy wasn't at all like the fugly git...
i don't think i could ever do that. -unsure haha. i'm not that expressive. i don't think i was that angry but angry enough to give him the stink eye until he caught on or until he would come over and ask me why. then i'd say, "shut your phone!"
i find it hilarious when these loud ghetto cells go off...most times i rock head phones with tunes anyways..but the odd time i hear em...funny...
Some people just cannot follow even the simpliest of all instructions... I personally would ask them "OMG, you can't even figure out your own mobile, a simple machinery with a practically fool-proof interface?" or "Would you mind turning your mobile off? This is a library/quiet study area for a reason" And hate to those who answer mobile, talk on mobile, not turn off/switch to vibrate in a cinema... And extra hate for those who try to TEXT others during the film, that bright screen is really annoying especially when said person sit in rows ahead of me... -unsure I would go "do you mind turning off your oh-so-expensive mobile so everyone can get back to seeing the film instead of your mobile screen?"
So inconsiderate of others, I share your pain, which is why I haven't stepped inside a library for who knows how long
These annoying people just deliberately do those kind of things to see how far they can get against authority from the librarian. They are doing it for the fun of it. If i were you i would have just left instead. why bother with them.
I'd walk up to these inconsiderate fools and give them a piece of my mind! The security guards are equally as dumb...do their duty and drag the guy out...do whatever it takes to keep peace! If these people need to learn the hard way, then so be it.
i believe there are commercial in cinema before a show starts to tell ppl to switch their hp to vibrate or off it...either they are un-educated...or they .....*^@#+~#A($%.......retards.
yea.. u see tons of those ppl these days that dont understand the sign or the commercials in theatres... turn phone off or on vibrate.. those ppl piss me off.. and its so wrong to happen in a library lol!
yup happened to me once in the cinema...a fat chick talked on he phone loudly and everyone started to shush her...she's just too blind and ignorant to the cinema ads telling us to silent our mobiles
