Hai ah, Prague is not so peaceful. But I've always been a survivor :p

    Everything's fine with you, Veincentury?

Nope, no cellphone's yet for us and only a very few of us dared to bring an analogue camera on this trip as we have been warned not to take any expensive things with us. -mellow

wow.... ur prague pics brings back memories... i just came back a couple of weeks ago.... eeks, i'm reading this thread and it seems most ppl have bad/dangerous memories of prague.... :p

i happened to really enjoy my stay there-sweat (maybe cuz i wasnt robbed or spit upon???) they eat a lot over there, dont u find? if u ever wander into the less busy sidestreets, u shud try some of their goulash or other more authentic bohemian dishes... they're quite good. i did try that fruit dumpling u mentioned, it's very berry-ish inside, and it was nice in the sense that u cant get the same food everywhere. and u can wash everything down with their famous pilsner beer, lol.

i found prague to be quite overrun with tourists though.... especiallly near charles bridge or the astronomical clock. but if u like music, prague is ur city. u can check out their operas or symphonies or church concerts or marionette theatres... :) and if u really, really like opera, i know they have standing room tickets that they sell on the day of the performance for only 2 euros! .... at least in the theatre of the estates... dunno about the state opera. just thought i'd mention it, cuz when i went, seems like most ppl dont know about these cheap tickets.

hope ur having fun, and be careful, of course..... but dont be too spooked... i was lost and wandering around prague at like 11:30pm for a hr before i found my hostel again, and nothing happened to me. then again, maybe i just look very a) mean, b) scary, or c) poor. :p

Wow! Thanks for the informations!!! I love operas!!!

How long did you stay in Prague? What's the best/worst memories?

Well... Prague is maybe safe for guys... Bur when I walked alone in old town at lunchtime a guy asked me "how much". I thought he meant about the time... but no no no... he thought I was "chicken" even tho I was wearing t-shirt, jeans and sneakers :(

Well, I guess they just love asiangirls hahaa

    To be honest, no....-sweat

Only a few attempts to steal things from us and the hired local guide trying to rip us kids off by selling us stamps for above the original price and "forgetting" he had to give our change back. (we had to pay him in advance and we could only pay him in notes)

Wei, did anyone asked you about buying drugs? At charles bridges they are all over the tourists!!! Very annoying. I yelled at a man that asked me and then he accidently asked me a second time... well there were a lot of asiangirls there... so I almost wanted to slap him hahahaa.

-doh argh.... this is the second time in two days i've been mistaken for a guy on this forum... first kdot, now u... sigh............

my best memory? probably the opera... it was just speshal bcuz i never thought i wud be able to watch mozart's don giovanni in the very same theatre where it premiered in like the 1700's. if u like music, u shud definitely go. but just keep in mind, they're called standing tickets because u stand there for the entire duration -whistle

..... that..... or shopping. i loved walking around the stalls and bargaining for those leather necklaces or wooden toys. if u have young siblings or even for urself, they have these wooden cubes like a rubik's cube, but u can take it apart and u have to try to put it back together. or, they have these cool pull-the-string tops... -^_^ i just found them so cool cuz i dun see them in north america, lol... (and they're cheap... only like 80-100kc)

luckily for me, i dun have very bad memories to share... i was lost but not robbed, the ppl were friendly enuf, and i wasnt prepositioned -sweat dunno if u went to prague castle already or not... compared to french or italian castles/palaces, there's not as much to see. it's older, of course, so that probably accounts for the lack of decadence, but besides armoury (...and torture chambers), there's less in the way of royal apartments....etc.

out of curiosity, how come france or italy isnt on ur list of places to go? not interested, or u've already been?

    Hmm, I think I'll pass holland =P

Haha, it's very embarrassing to live in europe but rarely traveled around there. I like to backpack in asia more than europe since I think that europes variation can be unimaginative sometimes. And I just started to travel for 3 years ago so I haven't got the time just =)

Sounds like you've been traveling a lot. Your favourites?

That chain store is all over prague hahaa

Creepy? Being hit on by a person of the same sex is creepy.(and yes it happened to me once-dead) lol

Haha methinks its 'cause of how Leo Ku looks in your avatar. The pic. isn't very clear so...yeah it could very be a pic of a dude full of himself, taking the pic and then posting the pic.
