You know, the ones with the baby ducks inside, use to be able to eat them but can't eat them right now, something about the cruelty of chewing a whole baby duck makes it feel eerie.....
that's a vietnamese thing isn't it i've never heard of any other cultures except vietnamese who eat it i dunno, i'm rather curious to try i mean we eat eggs, we eat chicken, what's so weird about the step in-between
well cause the duck is still whole and the chicken you can't really see or feel it lol, what you don't see is really easier to put in your mouth
so what's the diff when you eat those small fried whole fish(smelt) or when you eat lobster or crab sure you dont eat the whole thing at once, but you see the whole thing on the plate

do you eat cow balls and penises though? cause if you did then ovaries would mean nothing to you then but i haven't so yeah, duck ovaries are nasty to me lol (i know regular eggs are basically ovaries too but an ovary still attached to a physical form of a baby duck is just nastier to me so yeah.)

I don't think it's limited to Vietnam only. I think the Filipinos enjoy it as well. Many people enjoy it, and say it's very aromatic, especially when they come to the duckling foetus...they say the best part is the head. The skull bones have not hardened, so they just suck on the brains and it's creamy and tasty Personally, I don't think I'll try it. It's yucky to me, kind of like eating rotten eggs...

Have seen these 'things' and I would never touch it. It's actually chewing on a baby duck fetus...I'll eat a duck egg or a grown up (Peking) duck but not a baby duck fetus in an egg. -sick2
the duck isnt whole. theres only a piece of meat. the rest is just the same as a chicken egg. its like a chicken egg with a piece of meat cut from a duck breast or something. do you eat chicken eggs? well its the exact same thing. i dont know why you differentiate two eggs. let me ask you, would you eat a chicken egg? its the damned same thing. a piece of duck breast in a chicken like egg. its not disgusting. its food ffs. have you even tried rotten eggs? duck eggs doesnt taste bad. you never know until you try <_< a cut piece of duck breast inside an egg... i seriously dont know how thats cute. i dont know why you guys are so scared of duck eggs. imagine a chicken egg. now imagine a slice of cooked duck breast. and imagine duck broth. thats all thats in the egg. its like a soup. unless you tried it, dont be saying its yucky or disgusting. its just an upgraded chicken egg <_<
True that duck eggs doesn't taste bad at all but i have had the experience when i cracked one raw as a child lol see the head and the eyeballs and all all that fluid flowing out, when you eat it you actually eat the head and everything too lol, chicken eggs are just a blot though so it doesn't feel that weird in your mouth. When you cook a duck egg though the beak and the whole skull is soft so you eat it too and it just feels nasty, at least to me lol

<_< rite... eggs the one u buy from supermarkets.. the ones u have for sunday brunch.. the sunny side ups..scramble.. all of them are undevelop... to be exact.. unfertilise eggs.. but these one.. these contain life... un matured life... its like eating a little baby foetus.. with the baby inside.. thats just gross
