dragon eye for the win. dammit. they taste the same freal. i ithnk my friends got caught trying to summgle some (unintentionally) at the canadian border LMao.!!
I revive this one!! Its now June....Lychee and Longan season is about to start again!! For me..its really a though choice....I think i like Lychee a very little bit more than longgan We have now a sweet little longan plant!!! hope it will survive the winter....(it already survived one..but that wasn't a though one) ooh whauw...I have never seen these in Holland :( my mum always buys dried longan in HK..for making soup and so..
Ive been thinking about this question since I was a kid haha! and personally I like both of'em... too hard to choose between them haha! But I do know that Lychee's r bad for your throat haha!
Longan or Lychee Lychee has more varieties so it has moe potential for different flavours , especially when it is less sweet. Longan has fewer varieties, as the sweetness dominates the fruity flavours more than lychee so its flavours are not as many as lychee. On the basis of a bigger range of flavours I select lychee
Lychees themselfs are a bit 'hot' , but its your own body's balance(yin/yang) that determine wheter it will turn into 'yit hei' (term comes from chinese traditional thinking...and TCM) some people can eat kilos of lychee without getting 'yit hei' nice analysis and argumentation of your choice... AAHH.... the lychee and longgan season is about to start.....and I'm not going to HK this year........ >.< Import things really don't tastes that good..... way too sour.....(ok...ok..sometimes imported longgan can be still good) what are ur opinions with imported lychee/longgan??
No fight! Lychee wins supremacy! I lurrrve lychees!! Especially the loh mai chee...mmm...juicy and sweet with such a small seed. I can sit down and finish 3-4 pounds in one sitting! LOL...
When you talk about variety do you mean species of lychees? There are many different kinds of lychees too. I personally like the kind that is almost seedless...the seed is extremely small...those are really juicy and guaranteed to be sweet. There's also the Thai variety which has a slightly sourish taste...
longang has a same sweet taste. i voted for longang but lychee is also good. for some reason though, the lychee that my mum gets, they all taste different. they either taste mega fucking sweet, or mega sour manky shit.
hahaha.. yayy.. someone brought back my fav thread.. damn what season is it right now for which fruit?
