Hahaha. I'm not surprised. Though I've read M$ had plans to release a striped down version of windows for China. They said it was supposed to be $1 per copy. From the sales figures I guess the plan never went through.

 

can't expect them to get the legit versions wen they don't haf to

the 244 copies are probably the international companies heehhe

 

i doubt many home users have the money to pay for a spanking new upgrade when they can get it pirate or keep xp

if microsoft want to sell lots of legit copies, it will prob have to be to big companies

 

Dont think microsoft should expect much from sales in china when there's so many torrent websites.

 

Other than the fact that there's an absurd amount of pirating, Vista's just not what they need at this point. It is also too resource hungry, so I doubt the majority have PC's that would be able to run it for the actually advantages that Vista provides. Most sales come from OEMs putting it on their new hardware, enthusiasts, or gamers wanting DX10. But all in all, a 3-digit sales number is pretty LOL worth.

 

Micro$oft is just too expen$ive. So no wonder that so little is sold

yer, us chinese would rather pirate the copies insted like the way we pirate DVD!!!! LOL..not surpised that they wd do this, they're pretty gd at pirating anythin these days...

 

the thing is, can you update with the latest Windows updates and patches?

 

^no you cant, but i think the state of copyright in china and economic nature, many people would rather not be able to have updates than pay

 

Actually you can get keep it up to date... you just have to crack it. I download everything, I'm very cheap..

Forealz.. lol China probably had it long time ago before it even came out. On a bootleg disc or something. Just go there and u have many shops that sell pirated versions. I'm sure Microsoft will do something about it

 

haha for now. Im sure with new releases they will patch up the flaws which allow the cracks, and then theres windows genuine advantage system (which you dont have to download but comes as an update)

 

that explains why theres a lot of piracy goin on in china. heeh damn u can do anythin in china and get away with it.
