I was not at a high-end restaurant. Just a bunch of friends getting together to do some community service with high-end cooks who cooked steaks. Utensils: plastic forks/knives. And because I arrived late, I got this steak left out for an hour or two and of course it was a bit hard. Maybe more than a bit. Then this other person comes around (someone who I have the most disagreements with out of our group of friends) and says "Do you know proper etiquette? Do you even know how to use thost? (utensils)" I really wanted to say "No, I'm not rich and don't always eat at high end restaurants. ah. ha. ha. ha. WHY DON'T YOU TRY CUT THE STEAK STONE??!" But because I didn't want to dampen the mood (overall) I just smiled and kept right on eating (and I was super hungry). And she asked it again. GRR! I'm already being nice; don't push it. Although I rarely blow up on people because that always brings about sour results. I don't understand why she does that (questions my abilities? or makes me look stupid?) when we both already established that we don't like it when we do it to each other (as we had done in the past).
haha. if u a guy, she is trying to teach u culture...so go along with it. if u a girl, she thinks u are making her look bad...so she tells u.
I probably will go "in fact you are right, I have ABSOLUTELY no knowledge of proper etiquette, why don't you show me how it's done?" then push the plate to her SMILING... But to be honest, never have problems like that since I can be quite annoying and perculiar about my steak AND my etiquette... Bad steak? Left out cold for a LONG TIME? It will never be eaten by me...
I would eat it. I love steak. I'm completely with you on this one. That outburst was completely uncalled for. Don't worry, karma always has its way.
id just drop my utensils, pick up the steak with my hands and then start tearing pieces out of it lol.
there's always people who wants to make you feel inferior, just don't give into it and they won't win.

You should be like that guy from Hell's Kitchen. Throw the steak in the garbage with the utensils too haha
Whatever she does, just ignore it and she probably wont be bugging you anymore later when she finds that she doesnt have an opponent to duel with her.

aww thanks. but i'm both. hahaha nahh. that would be violating the golden rule. and that would be violating my own personal rule (which is basically my revised version of the golden rule): don't make others feel like *doodoo* so you won't feel like *doodoo*. smile at all times. don't stoop down to other people's levels. oops. turns out i have multiple rules. haha.
Haha...I notice you have a lot of these kinda friends. Anyways...I would've just ignored her questions. She'll shut up after a while. If you weren't using your utensils wrongly, why give her the pleasure of seeing your response? Just go on chewing your well done steak!
