Sorry if this in the wrong section (@.@") Started like this: I went to go play in the park n caught my finger against some wooden bench..next thing i kno..i got a 1cm long splinter trapped inside of nail..n i can't get it out >=( well i tried, but that only made my finger end up bleeding..:( right now, i dont know what to do..i cried myself to sleep cos it hurt that much..n i gota wait till monday to see a doctor.. And just thinkin about it is making me hysterical n i feel like crying agian..-cry2 (Big Sigh)
Caught INSIDE your nail??? Like the tip of your nail or something??? Did you try picking it out using a tweezer??? If it's really bad, just head to the ER and wait for help...
Try using very sharp needles and try to get it out. The sooner you try get it out, the better and easier it is.
actually inside the nail..i tried but my finger just started to bleed..so just left it..it still hurts but i can just 'yann' for now..
it depends on how deep the splinter is. If it's really deep and it hurts a lot you should consult a doctor. If it isn't that deep cut the nail and then use a needle or something to get it out.
my nail is already short..so cant cut it shorter..plus guna go see doctors on mondays..cos not open on weekends..but thanks for ur suggestions..

INSIDE the nail? like perpendicular to the nail surface??? or BENEATH the nail??? Coz if it's stuck THROUGH the nail you better get ER help ASAP, infection can be serious...
ouch.... i wouldnt recommend messing with it. go to a hospital instead. clinic doctors will send you there either way. and theres a possibility that you'll have to wait a few hours even in emergency... messed up.. dont go on monday, go asap. it can infect. go ASAP k?
either that, or (i'll be blunt). massive infection, which can lead to the worst case scenario of losing it. i know splinters will cause more pain in the long run than a simple operation. as a person whos been to the hospital many times, hospital is your best bet. its an advice i strongly recommend you follow. trust me. the alternative would not be funny at all.
just go to a hospital, have a chat with a doctor. hes gonna recommend you the best course of action, and you can choose to follow it or not. during that discussion, you can ask all the questions you like. you dont have to operate right there and then.
well hope u all better n stuff,..only been to hopsital once or twice, to get stiches n blood test etc..
they will probably just freeze your finger using anesthetic and then pull the sucker out, then put you on a regiment of antibiotics so you dont get an infection.
