I think there might be a conspiracy when Barry Bonds attempts his run at home rune 755 and tying Hank Aaron for Home Run King. To avoid being a footnote of MLB history and records, I think pitchers will walk him and not give him a chance to tie. Also, because he cheated with steroids, I don't think people will even give him a crack at 755. What do you guys think? I think it's a great idea because it preserves Hank Aaron's legit HR record without steroids.
i'm tired of everyone going off on Barry Bonds about steroids... seriously... there were hundreds of players that used steriods during the "steriod era"... but why is it that Barry Bonds the only one hitting those homers left and right? where were the others? if steroids were the reason why Barry Bonds was capable of raking about 40+homers every year for the last decade... then why is it that he's the only one close to the record mark? why isn't everyone else that took steroids also pushing 600/700 homers? why is it the Barry and McGwire the only two steroid users that hit 70+ homers? They obviously weren't walked, or else Barry would never have hit 70... Where was Giambi? Sosa? Palmeiro? Canseco? to me his steroid wasn't used to increase his home run count... rather to extend his career... if u ask the man if he would rather have a World Series ring or the home run record... the guy would take the ring over the record any day... that's why he took steroids... to extend his career in hopes of getting that ring...
The thing is he doesn't admit. He has to be a role model for the youth and own up to his actions. btw Canseco wrote a book, Palmeiro is hiding somewhere in Florida, Giambi's under investigation, AND Sosa's doing quite well in Texas.
except he didn't do anything wrong... steroids were legal substances at the time of usage... notice all the steroid rules and regulations only came about in the last few years... secondly i wasn't asking literally where they were, i was asking where they were in contrast to Bonds' hitting stats... if steroids were really some miracle drug that allows players to break homerun records... then why is it that only 2 players in history hit 70+ homeruns? we know for sure Canseco took them, why didnt' he break Maris' record? Why hasn't Palmeiro hit 600/700 homeruns? Why is it then that out of the 80% of the people that juice(according to Canseco himself) only about 10 of them became the big all stars being questioned now, rather then over half the league? or u could take it down to the 15% that Curt Shilling believes used steroids, and that's still atleast about 200MLB players over that time frame...
=S Wow I didn't know you were gonna make such a huge fuss about this. All I really wanted to say was NO pitchers are going to victim 755 and possibly 756.
