time after time i dont know what to get a guy whether he be my bf, my friend, or just some acquaintance what do you get a guy but something more special than just a gift certificate or chocolate
LOL, my friend's birthday is today.. and I am still thinking of what to get him I have gotten him a music CD before, a t-shirt, and a personal body toiletries from Body Shop. And there was one year I just treated him to birthday dinner. Running out of ideas this year. IMO, it's easier to get sth for a boyfriend, rather than a guy friend. >.<
Another CD by an obscure artist whom he would enjoy? I always do that. Or DVD of some films by a director he likes (you get the idea)...
^Oh, but he's not the artistic type... He's the kind of guy that would go, "It's not bad.. /it's OK.../ nice..." if you asked him to comment on a movie or a song Plus, i don't wanna get him the same thing again, hehe.
you could always get some random gift, like something that is considered an inside joke between you two. get them something that only they would understand the meaning behind it

well i have a friend's birthday to celebrate in two days and we're not really close but we hang out all the time in a huge group i dont like giving gift certificates and i becuase i dont know much about him i'm stuck i know he likes star wars and coffee, so my friend is getting him coffee and i rather not get him star wars stuff . . . well my guy's brother, we've been friends for 5 years he's also one of my best friends but year after year i dont know what to get him everything he wants he gets himself, other than that you dont know much of what to get him either

Cologne might be a good idea, except I think he hardly wears any. iPod.. nah too expensive for a friend. Sunglasses... a good pair would cost too much as well. Any other ideas?
all awesome ideas but not in this case cologne, he only has one he ever uses, AND i wouldn't buy it for someone, just cause it's one of those things you have to match up to the person very personally, since the same cologne or perfume smells different on every person ipod, well let's say i'm trying to not spend more than twenty$ on this guy, cause yea we aren't close at all sunglasses, i'm a total sunglasses snob, so to me, this is just like the cologne, you can't tell if a specific set of shades look good on a person unless they have tried it on
