    do you like it?

    when is it considered fusion and when is it considered new style/take?
    example
    fusion -> rasberry vinergret sauce on a salmon skin california sushi roll
    new style -> XO sauce fried noodles (this is a HK thing that was only created a few decades ago)
    ??? -> green tea tirimisu

    does it make a difference if the fusion cusine is made um . . . how to explain this
    example
    does it matter if the fusion of western style of chinese food is made by a
    American, or by a Chinese person?

    what are some good fusions that you have tried, and what are some horrible fusions that you try

    I don't care what kind of combination or fusion takes place as long as the final result is good.

    i'm not particular about the method used....i can't even remember if i've tasted one...i can't differentiate it anyway...is fried spaghetti one if them? lol....as babyrain and moudakding has mentioned, as long as the taste and smell is there...

    Fried spaghetti is quite common though. The dish I like in restaurants is called "fried spaghetti with beef in black pepper sauce."

    The most common fusion cuisine in M'sia is when you have a plate of rice cooked with coconut milk and sambal, (Malay) and a piece of fried chicken (Western)as the sidedish, instead of the usual rendang or curry :D

    ^^then you should count those bread made of imported flour from western a fusion cuisine? lol

    Hmm, no. What I meant is, the nasi lemak usually goes with the normal rendang/curry, not 'fried chicken' and besides they offered it in Pizza Hut/Mary Brown etc, which are Western food.

    i've tried fries with ice-cream...still ok though lol....some people just like to mix the food which results in weird taste...i think japanese food is heavily fusioned eg tempura, teriyaki, donburi, california rolls etc etc...
