Spanish 14-year-old dies on ride at Disneyland Paris, cause unclear Associated Press - June 26, 2007 7:33 AM ET PARIS (AP) - The death of a 14-year-old Spanish girl after a Disney ride is under investigation in France. Disneyland Paris officials say the girl lost consciousness while riding a roller coaster. The cause of the girl's death remains unclear. A preliminary inspection of the Rock'n'Roller Coaster ride found no malfunctions with the machinery. The girl boarded the ride yesterday at the theme park east of the French capital, and when the ride stopped, her friends found her unconscious. Medical teams at the theme park tried to revive her, but by the time the ambulance arrived, the girl had died. Police have opened an investigation, and an autopsy is planned today. The ride is shut down.
Thats quite possible. A heart attack is caused by damage to the heart muscle when its deprived of oxygen. Since the roller coaster moves at such high speeds it can deprive some people of oxygen and cause the heart to react to that, possibly triggering a heart attack. IMO, I think that only happens when people are afraid of roller coasters and have a bit of anxiety before going on.
biggest possibility would be as babyrain has mentioned...people never pay attention to the warning 'not for the faint hearted'
isn't there a 'list' or somekind of a warning...peoples who aren't supposed to go ahead... maybe she didn't knew about her own personal risks.
the rocknrollercoaster is one of the coolest rides iv ever been on... my dad went on it with me and my brother and he was screaming like a little girl
aww this is sad news.... didnt this happen in florida's disney land Rock n' roller aww this is really sad...
umm.. children are born with heart diseases and defects of the heart.. Its a shame, but it's the reality, there was a five year old, a long time ago in my local area that had a heart attack. Anyway, its sad that she died but even more so at a place that you ought to supposedly have fun...
^ So true. I've seen babies who required ICU the moment they are out in the world. Some fortunately could live normally after but there are fews that couldnt because problem couldnt be corrected till much later. It is indeed sad to have fun and the next thing you know, the death angel is knocking at your door. >.<
maybe she had some kinda stroke, most young people dont get heart attack unless they were born with a defective heart.
