well in the papers it said paul potts had previous opera singing training and he was coached by pavarotti himself! and he usually sings opera shows in small theatres. personally i don't think he deserves to win the competition.. he had a unfair advantage against the other competitors
^Hmm, not sure about the coaching by Pavarotti part, but I guess that's OK. Even shows like American Idol, some of the contestants had experiences as a back-up singer, etc. People like Melinda Doolittle, she's a pro compared to the rest of the amateurs. And yet, she didn't win it So I guess, experience does help, but it's still not a determining factor if you don't have the X factor and charisma.

is not a joke, his musical talent on that pieace is actually almost perfect. Is not modern music, but it is music. He is in tune, and have great dynamic through out. I agrue that his musical knowledge is prolly alot higher then many modern singers. But I will agree that this type of musical style, will not win alot of aduiences in todays world. ________ VTX1800F
