By Hank Green Fri, 29 Jun 2007, 03:58PM Ferrari is showing off it's green with a new concept, high performance vehicle, the Ferrari FFX Millechili. Yes, it's a hybrid, and uses it's electric drive train not just to boost power but also to increase efficiency. What's really exciting about the FFX is that its made of lightweight materials including carbon fiber, plastic and cardboard. Eh? Cardboard?! Well, apparently so. I'm not sure if this is just to make the prototype easier to build, or of Ferrari really is considering its use in vehicles, but, in any case, using light weight materials to increase efficiency is extremely necessary. Additionally, the FFX incorporates an advanced aerodynamic undercarriage system that uses jets of air to keep whirlpools of drag from forming beneath the car. A hybrid ferrari lol, i doubt people who could own a ferrari needs a hybrid version though, but it saves the enviroments and stuff so i guess it can be beneficial.
this car is screaming out to owners who want a death certificate. Its virtually suicide driving this thing....
lol don't think the actual car is actually gonna be made with cardboard, hope not lol, cause driving at breakneck speeds with cardboard is not good lol.....lol look at what eddie griffin did to that enzo and it was not fast and not cardboard lol
ya know what's weird.. that track griffin go and crash that enzo, is about 5 mins away from my parents' place.. i was talking to a guy who has an h3, and he win sema last yr with that car.. he told me have 11 cars, and one of them is lambo guillardo.. that's his wife's car, and she hit the rear bumper and break it twice when she was driving.. that bumper to replace is 20k usd!!
maybe its a super strong card board....its like plastic....there are plastic bags and then there are super strong plastics, and then there is lo GI fibre and Carbon Fibre
then they should have just stick with carbon fiber.. if i had to choose.. hmm.. hard choice isn't it?? lol
And we have ourselves a fan boy. Anyone else find it funny that they chose 69 for their number? Out of all the possible number choices, they picked 69.
of course is cheaper lor.. but is ferrari, customers wouldn't expect such an exclusive company like ferrari to spare expenses for cardboard
so what if like.. someone want to smoke in their car, and the cherry drop inside?? is their car going to blow up or something?? haha
that is something to investigate... with the jets of air that the car supposedly uses, it might actually fly
