So yesterday I was in a 7-8 hour car ride to SD. There were four people in the car including me and two people were driving. So when one person was driving, I think the rest were sleeping. I felt really bad that I fell asleep because it's like, the driver can't sleep, so why should I be able to. But then I couldn't help it because I didn't sleep all night because I was preparing all the food for the trip. But then I still felt bad. Does anyone think it's rude?

Nope I don't think it's rude. People fall asleep all the time when I drive and I don't consider it rude because it is a boring drive XD So stop feeling bad. I bet if you drive/someone else drive, they'll fall asleep as well.

no because you're not the one DRIVING and why would it be rude to sleep and let someone else take care of it.

If you were the driver I would be afraid since you didn't sleep the night before; very dangerous to operate a vehicle while sleep deprived.

Well I didn't think it was rude at first. But then one of my friends was like, "You shouldn't fall asleep because they can't." But then she fell asleep ... so I guess I shouldn't listen to her.

Dont think so personally, but if it makes you feel better, next time, engage in a conversation with the driver.

agree. I think your buddy is the who's being rude -whistle. Anyway, now you don't have to feel bad because she didn't stick to her words.

yea... i wouldn't say it's rude... but i try not to sleep just cuz if i'm not driving i'll try to find somthing to talk about with the driver to make sure they'reok. And... a 7-8 hr trip to SD? where you from? i'm assuming NorCal... SF? Sacramento? i go to school down in SoCal from Sac so i understand that 7-8 hr drive thing.

  11. well... would u think it's rude if u were driving n ur fds were sleeping in the car??

Nope... it's not rude... But if I am the driver and I get sleepy, then i'll turn on the music real loud.

heh, well what if you had friends that were sleeping in the car babyrain? would u just turn the music on really loud? You could always just pull over or find a rest stop or something, then everyone can get some air and stretch out a bit

^I sleep if I don't have anything to say... Sometimes I am in a chatty mood and I can talk the whole journey.
