    hmmmm . . . .

the funny thing is that i KEPT on talking about my exes

but the confusing thing is, (later in the conversation) i think he thought because i kept talking about "relationships" that's why he thought i was "looking"

    . . . . even if i'm looking . . . .i'm not looking at you . . ..
    HA HA HA ~sigh~

who the hell talks non stop about their exes when they are trying to get with someone
i would never start up a conversation with someone i was interested in with stories about my exes

^Aww, but that's sad. Why are you talking about your exes with other guys? Are you still in love with them or can't get over them?
Hmm, as far as I know, girls who talk about their exes are a big turn-off to guys. But they could be taking it as a hint from you...

Let's say you are praising your exes or talking abt the nice things they have done then the guy may be thinking, "Oh she wants me to know she likes it that way... blablabla" and if you are ranting about your exes, the guy may think, "Oh she's giving me a warning..."

See, us girls can never win... -^_^

Just continue on what you do. It's not your fault. The guys are just assuming too much. Remember, assumption is the mother of all problems. There's no reason why you shouldn't be you, the way you are, just because they're assuming. guys are getting desperate nowadays. =p

^ no way. "guys are getting desperate nowadays"??? you are nuts!

@small: i think you should do whatever you do. there's nothing wrong with hanging out with old friends; from old jobs, old school, old college or whatever. although maybe you are giving the vibe as you suggested. what i think you should do is try to involve more people ... even when you are making plans with 1 guy over the phone or something ... say things like ... we should invite so and so (mutual friend that he knows too). that way he'll know it's a hang out and nothing romantic even if the so and so is not able to make it.

in general: sure ... alot of times, a guy and a girl cannot be friends. there's always the sexual tension. but once you cleared the air that you have no interest anything beyond normal friends, it should be fine. i have a quite a bit of opposite sex friends and i'm not gay as suggested by one of the replies. Welcome to Adult Friendship and Relationship!!! you don't have to get into every girl's pants!!!

So she give in to the guy because he kept nagging her -what? I can't do that, I'm like a total B word when someone keeps bothering me XD

Anyway on to the topic. The vibe people gets depends on the individual. Different people get different vibe so just do whatever you do and if the person bothers you not getting the picture that your not interested in him, just be straightforward about it. Depending on how you say it/how sensitive the person is, it could be harsh or just neutral for them.

the praising one, that is pretty good sign.. but it might feel weird for the current guy coz he might think she is not over the ex yet, like "aiya, she want me to be just like him, do stuff like him whatever.. but i'm not him!!", so is depend how far the girl will talk about it and how far the guy will try to take it.. the ranting, well.. if is me and a girl has a lot of baggage, that's sign of immediate DANGER -tongue2-tongue2

    ^yup, agree with BRain there.

@smallrinlady: How about this, if you sense the guy is thinking more of it (despite you talking about the exes) you have to find way to add the lines like "ow, I'm so not interested in a relationship at the moment, there's no one I know I like...etc."

The risk of this is when the guy has enough courage to confront you and ask you what you think about him as dating material. -sweat

  8. HANG OUT WITH CHICKS INSTEAD OF GUYS!!!

my therapist tells me guys would rather b fds with guys than girls... so when he's fds with girls he's just waiting around to make a move... but then again a lot of ppl refuse to believe it...

    Uh...

Maybe your becoming too friendly so maybe you should try to keep a distance for a while.

but sometimes guys are more fun to hang out with than girls, especially when drunk
cause guys are move lively and willing to play silly drinking games, while girls just gossip and shop

  16. ....

that's because they r waiting for the chance to take advantage of u or even sleep with u -_-"

n if getting drunk n playing drinking games with guys isn't giving out wrong vibes then how do u give out vibes?!?!?!??!!?!?!?! >.<
    just becareful rini...~~

maybe you should think in their shoes.

you say u started work....so i presume they are working too...and after having to expose to the outside & real world...they found out that their childhood / school friend is the one they miss the most.

the times, where you all share things / thoughts...the times you all hangout together, the closeness & chit-chatty stuff / topic that can just come out from the mouth.

So, when you all get together again, they realise how beautiful n pretty you turn-out to be from the plain jane school girl that they knew off back in high school.

therefore, it sparks the interest in their heart.

otherwise...your sending the wrong msg across & they are immature to predict it wrongly.
