Okay babyrain (or other gals), I have a quick question regarding this GIRL that I kept in contact with. At the wedding reception, everyone ate and danced. I sat back down at my table and there was this one other girl sitting there (whom I don't know nor does she know me). She came over to me and started a typical conversation. When the night ended, she asked for my number and my AIM screenname: "you're a nice guy.. can I get your number or AIM screenname so we can keep in contact?" -- I submitted it to her and left. So she calls me every now and then at very random hours (sometimes around midnight and sometimes during the day) and would always end up asking me if I had a girlfriend or not. I honestly told her I did. She then constantly asked (each time she called me) about the status of the relationship, such as "how are you and your girlfriend doing? do you love her? you're lucky to be in a relationship" and weird shit like that. Then there's this one time she called me, crying .. telling me that she recently broke up with her boyfriend and that he lied to her about the reason for breakup -- "he told me he had to break up with me because his guardian didn't want him to have a girlfriend..... but then my friends told me that they saw him with a new girl a week later... I'm sooo mad, I just need to someone to talk to right now and maybe have lunch/dinner with.. are you free tomorrow?" So I take her out for lunch and after we finished, she insisted that I spent the rest of the day with her. I told her I couldn't because I had work .. she hugged me and left and thanked me for "being there." A couple days or so passes, she calls me to tell me "OH MY GOD.. i saw my ex with that girl!! but I went up to him and gave him a kiss.. i don't know why." Uhh.. okay... wha....the....fuck? Okay.. here's what's up: I am hella suspicious about her boyfriend-break-up story, honestly I think it's all bullshit. We are almost complete strangers as we did not know anything about each other nor each other's friends. And here she is suddenly asking about my relationship status, telling me her "tragic" break up. What's going on ... is this one weird ass way to tell me that she likes me or is she just fucking around? She knows I have a girlfriend, my age, my whereabouts and everything, but she would not tell me anything about herself, besides the fact that she's in high school. She kept her age and GRADE-LEVEL very secretive and would not even spill a hint. What the hell?
^One question, what were you doing with her when you already have a gf? Get rid of her! haha. She sounds like a psycho to me. Either she's mentally disturbed (from her 'tragic' breakup with her bf) OR she's making it up so she could have an excuse to call/see you. The fact that she started chatting with you AND asked for your contact, that showed interest. Then she called and asked if you haf a gf... It's so obvious isn't it? Besides, you and her were complete strangers, like you said. I don't think you know her enough to care for her... so just ignore her the next time she calls you. It sounds creepy, the way she knows everything about you... A) Before all this happened, wouldn't you accept him/her as a friend for trying to befriend you? B) It's exactly my sentiments when I sat down and thought about it. The thought of "why the hell would she tell me all this? Does she not have CLOSER friends?" went through my mind. The fact that she started chatting with me and ask for my contact info didn't really get me suspicious, intially. I've had a couple of female friends who asked me for my contact info first and they didn't turn out as "extreme" as this gal. C) Well, it didn't struck me as obvious as it is now, but I felt it was a "girl thing" to ask about others relationships, but her consistency in asking the topic did make it very apparent, looking back at it now at least. D) haha, I would pretend to be like wow.. a random girl just came up to kiss me, lucky me. Being a high-schooler doesn't necessarily give them an automatic underage status. Heck, she gave me an impression that she is over the age of 18 while in high school (which is the reason why I think she hides her age from me). I had no interest in her whatsoever from the start anyway -- where're you getting at?
I like a gal and she's working juz opposite the shop i'm working ... sometimes i look at her and she notice it(i think so) and we got greet each other if we're happen to pass by each other ... but it's juz hard for me to go over and start a conversation ... what should i do?
The first step is the hardest but one of you has to take it, and she isn't likely to. I think sending her gifts would freak her out at this moment. Just gather the courage and go talk to her. Create the opportunity. Ask her out to lunch to chat. At this stage, don't ask it like a dae or anything. This would probably freak her out too. Remember, she may like you, but she doesn't know the real you yet and vice versa. You should judge your next move when you actually know her.
The best thing is slowly start to say more that greetings to her. Look at what time she goes to lunch and try to go out the same time and walk the same way.

^There is a reason this thread was created. To get the girls' perspective. So when a guy answers questions, it may confuse the poor guy who asked it, coz he thought it was a suggestion from a girl... (which in fact, may be the worst solution ever in a 'REAL' girl's point of view)

You just have to be more daring I guess, and go over and strike a conversation. Don't be doing this while you are on duty though.. Just do it during ur lunch time, go over and say Hi.. nothing wrong with that I used to work in shopping malls too, and during lunch times, I'd go around disturbing everyone..-sorc

Well, maybe you can come up with an excuse or sth.. Ran out of cellophane tape? Ran out of marker pen? stapler fills??? Anything lor... ahhaha. But, girls would prefer a more direct guy But that will be a good ice-breaker.
