I like... ...all RPG's but Jap ones are by far and away the best, I cry when I see a great game that hasn't been translated
you must be kidding, FINAL FANTASY ROCKS Japanese is more innovative, anime,manga, cars. They have long experience in products like rpg. Westerners still pefer shooting
Japanese rpgs are the better ones but there story lines kinda get repeative but i do like the challenges western are more many quest oriented -batman
the japanese ones have a very delicate and intricate plot line like that of FFXII...the plot line for that game was crazy and the art design of the japanese ones appeal to me more than the medieval stuff that the american rpg's are based off of
Well there are good Jap rpg's, but there's also so many bad ones. I prefer western rpg's. Most of the time you'll find a easy to follow yet interesting storyline. Something that a lot of jap rpg's don't have. I also enjoy the fighting system more :\. My fav would be Knights of the old republic.

western rpgs ftw, Fable, Oblivion, etc are awesome. All rpg's should involve lots of decision making that can change the story, thats what make them roleplaying. Jap rpg's usually lack this
Japanese RPG's any day -innocent2 Japanese RPG seem to have better depth, better story and much better and memorable characters.-whistle Can't stand Western RPG's graphics and colours look so dull, whereas Jap RPG are vibrant and colourful.-blush2........... Just look at Blue Dragon, Rogue Galaxy and the Final Fantasy games-rolleyes.
japanese rpg's all the way, they are funner =D i just love the way that the story is told, and the characters are developed fantastically.
jap RPGs are the best imo. good story lines and fun 2 play. currently playing Jeanne D'arc on psp and world of warcraft is not rpg btw<<< MMOrpg
WoW is the best. for those who dont know, rpg mean role playing game, how on earth can someone say WoW is not a rpg??, just cus it is a multi player game!!?? if there's role play, ITS AN RPG!!!!!! if you want to distinguish between multiplayer and single player RPGs then thats ok but lets not get it twisted guys hehe
