I know a few happy endings, at least two (interracial) marriages and one cute baby. :)
I met my bf 4 years ago, online, and we're still together (more or less, if the distance of 9000 km doesn't count) - I just don't know yet when we're finally together. It's not so easy to give up its own identity, job, home etc.

I don't encourage it either. You don't really get to know someone from the inside out unless you meet them in person, and of course, anyone can lie and say whatever they want online and you wouldn't know that they're trying to deceive you. I would prefer meeting people the traditional way...the traditional "handshake" method - it's what I call it. :D

That should be a logical step afterwards. :p

When I met my friend for the first time I was like 'wow' - he was standing in the door frame ... no stranger at all. We spent the evening together, talking about this and that and I felt like knowing him for ages. That's what you'd call love at first sight ... after a year! -lol

Ok, I have to admit that I was never looking online for a relationship but rather for penpals - it went the other way and I don't regret that at all.

Yup yup it seems that some people have the mistaken belief that online dating = online dating. Don't take it too literally? I mean, yeah sure, you can meet online, and get to know each other. Then you can always proceed further in real life. So online dating is just a means of getting to know a person. It's no difference than speaking to a stranger on the streets, or picking someone up from the bar.

In fact, sometimes, online dating is much safer than talking to strangers in real life.

i wish airplaine rides was cheaper:(
i might ride in one of them airplanes with farm animals and hay everywhere to get to see baby rain;)
but i think stuff like thats only real on tv.lol
anyway i think online dating can be cool all joking a-side.
you just got to reamber you don't know these ppl, so you got to take it slow and nothing real can come out of it until you meet in real life:p

then you get to see if your dream girl/guy you been talking to is really a nightmare or the real deal.lol
just be careful is the most you can do,you can meet a crazy guy/girl at your home town just as easy as online tho.lol
just use your brain if you don't its your falt if you hook up with somebody that want to cook your ass.lol
    i'm funny:p
    be cool.

wahh we would u a zhong sum admirer brain hehehe ^

ok ok me me me... me answer..
i do believe... only if u found the rite guy who;s willing to go long distance+online...
it almost ended with a happy ending with my sis... almost 10 yrs ago.. my sis started datin a guy online..she was from msia.. he was from states.. i think indiana.. they just met online.. n started dating... then to phone calls.. after 2 yrs.. they met.. thats when my sis went overseas to study.. n he went over to uk to met her..
    they went online-long-distance..
n they broke 2 yrs bak... after 8 yrs of relationship...
before the break up.. i would say.. yes.. 100% online could work.. cos it worked for my sis.. n after the break up.. i would say 50/50 now.. depending on ur guy..

n they reason they broke up.. he found a younger girl.. n less intimidating one...
    (my sis's a dr in uk & i think she's only some clerk or something<_< )
