Id say half and half have light and dark skin.. Bac Ky ( North Vietnamese) have fairskin (light) Truong Ky ( Central Vietnamese ) ( Fair to Tan ) Nam Ky (Southern Vietnamese) in general have fair skin , to tan and to very dark skin... Nam Ky (Chinese Vietnamese ) called "Chợ Lớn ( generally have fair skin) Bac Ky (Chinese Vietnamese) called "Chợ Nhỏ ( generally have fair to tan skin) north , central and south , have different looks, different accents and ethnic group in each region most viet kieu are Nam Ky ... South Viets have more of diverse looks mainly I think possiblities of intermixing with the 53 other ethnic minority groups. Also climate and working in the sun alot .. Iv seen that pic she vietnamese.... vietnamese have a very diverse look which I find interesting...-smart

funny thing is the viets are dark skinned but only when they have sun. most light skinned ones dont go out in the sun enough in my opinion and if you shun the light then you bound to look more chinese/japnaese/korean unless it's a skin complexion thing amoung your family
